Remember though, a Wizard will eventually turn his favorite lvl 1-3 spells into cantrips that can be cast whenever. A Cleric will ALWAYS have to cast that spell like normally.
Morrus you are amazing with these teasers. I hope you dont mind I share them with my Facebook group, but we are all (except 1 guy for some reason lol) grateful for this.
Was referring mainly to the bit about how all of these arguments are situational and what works for 1 might not work for another, not necessarily the crunch of it all.
Barring some complete rewrite of every spell in the game, GF9's customer service is top notch and I can see them hooking up customers with a free upgrade for something like that.
Have taken an "involuntary" break from gaming for the past few years. Mainly due to time, resources, and lack of group, looking to get back into though with the new edition.
I think what you are describing is the difference between affordable to all cards and collectors edition cards for those with money to burn.
That being said I would wait in line right there with you lol.
I hope Tough ends up being
+1 CON
+1 HP/level
Advantage on Save vs Death rolls.
Then Resilience would work well with Tough while both being exclusive enough that you dont need to take them together.
I go with the first model. Combat is people shuffling around really, but directly in the way is DIRECTLY in the way. So unless we get a "Precise Shot" type of feat or ability, melee characters are in the way, but hey maybe its a good thing.
Agreed, having any "One true build" to beat all other builds defeats the purpose of this edition. I think we can all agree that this type of crunch is exactly what the designers were trying to get away from.
That being said, I think the Dwarven Battle-Caster is an excellent concept and...
A reason yes but not a reason to immediately target them, what if its just someone who doesnt fight, AKA the NPC that paid for the protection of the people trying to beat your face in.
That type of thinking is metagame thinking IMO, and not realistic. Target priority is a real thing and if...
My point is that all of these ideas about smart creatures will target the Wizard and bring him down first because he is the biggest threat....how do they know hes a Wizard (or other magic user)?
A- Magic Users in most settings are pretty rare, so I doubt its part of most battle plans, and...
I think the problem stems from some DM's thinking that a Wizard looks like a Wizard and not some normal guy in a robe. He could just as easily be a traveler who hired some mercs and not the iconic Wizard that has a big sign saying "I'm important, kill me first". Sure the big fighter in full...
Sadly I only recently learned about E6, its exactly what I thought the game needed. I am however very happy from what I have seen with this edition so far, and look forward to playing it as much as possible. Now to find a group.... lol
