Agreed, new players are going to find this very helpful IMO, and experienced players are just going to create their own backgrounds like normal while a DM hands out what he thinks they deserve.

I dont normally play a magic user, but I'll say I'm feeling like making the save is going to get me out of any of "Save or Suck" situations more often then concentration breaking. As for buffs, if you are getting hammered and losing concentration, maybe you should have picked better buffs ;)

Damn Hollywood has everyone thinking that weapons must be fired at the same time, whats wrong with aiming a shot and firing then aiming the second weapon and firing right after? Its not the full aim like a Sniper uses, its a quick aim that gunfighters use.

Humans are suppose to be the race that can be just as good as everyone that isnt the best at what they are designed to do I.E. Elven Wizard. This goes to put Humans in the broadly powerful area without making them able to beat the most classic of stereotypes.

See I'm the opposite, I think pages of backgrounds that are setting specific will be a neat and useful thing. Example: Forgotten Realms: Harper Orphan - Raised by Harpers, your life ..... Thayan - Living in the Lands of Thay.... Helps tie players into the setting and while a player may like...

Please elaborate on what the Arcana Archer is (Feat that wasn't mentioned, class archetype, etc..) and what it allows. This and the Paladin rules are the main things I care about lol.

I can definitely see a front line caster wanting and picking this feat as almost mandatory, but as for Ranged focused Wizards its hard to justify completely. Sure the bonus to concentration checks is awesome, but that isn't going to help you keep them from just making a save in the first place...

I agree, but you have to admit they are making that "optional" DMG very tempting, and making it the book with evil class versions adds to that a lot.

Probably true, would be a good way to get a gun proficiency as well. Other than people against that particular flavor, I dont think we will have the issues with Guns like we did in 3x since its not against "Touch AC" only the normal AC everyone has. That being said I could see firearms...

I like these lists, and anything making it easier to become an Arcane Archer than how 3x had it, is fine by me :D Im curious how guns are going to work out this edition though. I know it was mentioned that guns are included in the DMG, but I hope that there isn't a specific class like PF did it...
