D&D General Legend of Vox Machina Trailer Released

90% of the gore and language in the trailer seemed to be from the first two episodes (the original story and not the Briarwoods stuff) so they might be frontloading that a bit. But I'm not sure I'd say the Briarwoods is likely to be PG-13, this is an arc where entering the main city the party sees

D&D General "Red Orc" American Indians and "Yellow Orc" Mongolians in D&D

In game Kraghammer was pretty notably restrictive, I mean it was harder for the party to get in there on a random peaceful day than to get into a Syngorn that was on a war footing and teleported into the feywild (albeit the party had more of a personal in for Syngorn). As well as in the...

D&D Movie/TV Chris Pine is making $11.5 million for D&D movie

I think the idea is that most of the more recent big blockbusters are successful based on IP more so than who the star actor is

    D&D 5E (2014) Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn Releases January 18th 2022!

There's a section on them in the Port Damali section, as it is the only city in Wildemount with a skyship port, as opposed to Tal'Dorei which has two mentioned in that blurb, in Emon and Whitestone.

    D&D 5E (2014) Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn Releases January 18th 2022!

Haeck previously confirmed that the cover monster is an Adranach, and he talks about the League of Miracles having adranach servitors here: I think all the cover characters are the "iconics" for the subclasses in the book. The ones we know the names of currently are the elf moon cleric Nalys...

    D&D 5E (2014) Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn Releases January 18th 2022!

Looks like Keyleth's been going to some public speaking classes and leadership seminars since campaign 1 ended. Went from 10 CHA to 15.

TSR TSR3.5 Launches IndieGogo Campaign to "Stop" WotC

Has anything that can be reasonably referred to as "mainstream media" even acknowledged this situation?

Into the Mother Lands: A Sci-fi RPG by PoC Designers

I mean "optimized for streaming" might just mean rule lite in way that minimizes time spent checking a rulebook and also minimizes rules lawyer types yelling about how "you're playing it wrong". With mention of dice pool and having Gabe Hicks involved with designing it I'm inclined to think it...

Critical Role Critical Role Campaign 3 Discussion (SPOILERS)

Which of these do you think he uses first Travis Willingham (Character) or Travis Willingham (Vampire)?

    Hawkeye Disney+ Limited Series (spoilers)

Also purely from a storytelling perspective, you're not gonna have a story told about how Hawkeye (Clint) chose not to shoot Black Widow (Natasha), and then later in the same episode put so much focus on Hawkeye (Kate) choosing not to shoot Black Widow (Yelena) and not have it mean something.

Echo is Kingpin's adopted daughter, Taskmaster's daughter is Finesse

    Hawkeye Disney+ Limited Series (spoilers)

Yeah, I think that info comes from imdb which for that sort of thing often just puts expected appearances in all episodes and drops them as episodes are released and the actor isn't involved.

D&D 5E (2014) Don't play "stupid" characters. It is ableist.

Herbo is fairly common in my experience and I think it was coined for that reason, that is recent Adora being a woman who fulfills the himbo archetype.

D&D 5E (2014) Don't play "stupid" characters. It is ableist.

I mean your own example from earlier in this thread of Grog Strongjaw is only debated on whether he should be considered a himbo based on whether he qualifies for the "nice" aspect of that archetype and not for being the wrong sort of low intelligence.

D&D 5E (2014) Don't play "stupid" characters. It is ableist.

Not commenting on the actual point, but I do find it interesting to see it made here while so much of Tumblr and Twitter are pretty enamored by the himbo and herbo archetypes for characters

D&D General D&D (and potentially other TTRPG's) is a sport

Speaking personally, there are aspects of Actual Play shows that tickle the same part of my brain that enjoys watching sports

D&D General G4's New D&D Show Is Called 'Invitation to Party'

Fun fact: Actual Play shows are recorded as "TV Series" under IMDb as are studio hosting jobs. The vast majority of BDave's and a sizeable percentage of Ify and Fiona's actor credits there fit under those (and probably a fair amount of Kassem's but I'm not super familiar with him)
