D&D General What if Critical Role had stuck with Pathfinder? Or 4E?

2015 but yeah, the episode delayed by the beginning of pandemic lockdown was the 100th episode of their second campaign

D&D General What if Critical Role had stuck with Pathfinder? Or 4E?

If they stick with 4e then at least the Vox Machina characters made in Pathfinder; Pike, Percy, and Keyleth are likely to be different, if not completely separate characters from the ones we've seen as there'd be no Sarenrae, no Gunslinger class, and Marisha Ray has mentioned that she disliked...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

You said she was in love with him. There's a lot of ground between "attracted to" and "in love with".

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

D&D 5E (2014) Revisited Setting News: Its not the 2023 Classic setting, but rather for 2024

With the timing of it being in 2024 and Call of the Netherdeep suggesting that Tal'Dorei Reborn may have been independently published for reasons other than "Matt doesn't want to make books for WotC". It feels reasonably likely that the setting revisit may end up being "Traveler's Guide to Marquet"

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

What trouble where they having in that encounter before? When Grog was ineffectually riddled with arrows? When they pushed through the room to the point that Percy, Vax, and Keyleth basically left Grog and Vex behind to mop up the guards? When Vex ducked into cover between her shots?

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Races: Evolution, Fantasy Stereotypes & Escapism

One thing that can really put a damper on a person's escapist fantasy is reading something that sounds an awful lot like the justifications to do horrible things to other people like them being used to say why it's ok to kill something on sight in said fantasy.

With how dark the arc they're adapting for the first season gets, it'd be hard to faithfully adapt without being TV-MA
