    D&D Presentation from GAMA

It's true that the EE stuff is still in the future but I was expecting a little more than them just talking about things coming out next month. Oh well, maybe this summer we'll learn more...

    D&D Presentation from GAMA

Absolutely nothing about future plans or products? How underwhelming... maybe the guy who was supposed to handle the way-ahead portion of the presentation has jury duty? Seriously though, I'm pretty disappointed that nothing came out of this except what they have already done. Really makes...

At Least 4 Months For Conversion Documents

An official conversion document from WotC would be very cool to have. I just hope it eventually comes out at some point and doesn't get completely forgotten. I still have a paper copy of the 3E conversion pamphlet. I remember they were giving them out for free at a bookstore I visited in a...

At Least 4 Months For Conversion Documents

Perhaps this is the "big reveal"? Seriously though, saying "final approval" suggests that the work is already done (or mostly done) and that the only remaining obstacle is one guy who happens to be unavailable. Perhaps someone else could give the final approval? Perhaps Mearls will also...

[UPDATED] Check Out These PRINCES OF THE APOCALYPSE Maps!

Ok, I'm officially excited about Princes of the Apocalypse now. I'm really hoping the reviews will be favorable. If so, I'll be sure to pick up a copy. Because select stores will get it on March 27th, we should know if it's any good in just a couple of weeks.

See What WotC's Meeting Rooms Look Like!

I've sat through enough conference room meetings in my life to make me sick of the sight of them. In my minds eye I see bored looks on people's faces, conversations branching off onto tangents that have nothing to do with the purpose of the meeting, some poor administrative assistant being...

7 Years of D&D Stories? And a "Big Reveal" Coming?

I hope you're right... some news about their future products would be very cool and also give us something new to talk about. I'm hoping for a campaign setting confirmation myself, maybe in the form of a boxed set the same size as the Starter Set? That would be about perfect.

    D&D 5E (2014) Are hardback AP's a waste?

Hardbacks are only as good as the quality of the adventures in them. HotDQ did not strike me as a particularly good adventure, which has me wondering a lot about how PotA will be. If PotA gets great reviews I might pick it up but I'm more interested in other things like settings.

D&D 5E (2014) So what exactly is Wizards working on?

I like your thinking and I'd be happy if it plays out that way. Two APs in one setting over the course of one year sounds about right... I agree that the next AP after PotA will probably be somewhere other than the Forgotten Realms, maybe Dragonlance or Ravenloft? If they do a campaign...

D&D 5E (2014) So what exactly is Wizards working on?

Could be they aren't planning on publishing anything other than APs for the foreseeable future which would explain the silence. I suspect that there is more coming than their letting on about though... I guess we'll find out one way or another at some point.

D&D 5E (2014) So what exactly is Wizards working on?

Some people did get upset about the Adventurer's Handbook being cancelled (I don't really get that since, at best, those people only had a general idea of what was going to be in the book anyway) but, so what? Do you really think that WotC cares about some of our grumblings in the forums? I...

D&D 5E (2014) So what exactly is Wizards working on?

Mearls mentioned at a "future of D&D" conference in 2012 that after making the core rules, they would then be able to focus on adventures, campaigns and rules modules. So far, all we're seeing are the adventures with no sign of a future campaign setting or a book of modular rules. I think...

D&D 5E (2014) So what exactly is Wizards working on?

That's pretty drastic. If that was true, then why would they bother spending a couple of years designing a new edition before nailing down a movie deal? Besides, a successful D&D movie is unlikely to bring a significant amount of people to tabletop D&D anyway. Sure, it'll help the brand...

7 Years of D&D Stories? And a "Big Reveal" Coming?

I'd be surprised if the "big reveal" is more than just the announcement of their next AP.

Look What ED GREENWOOOD Is Doing! Forgotten Realms: The Unofficial, Non-Canon, Unlicensed, Utterly U

I hate to say it but I think this is probably right on the mark. I doubt we'll see much produced for 5E at all except for the APs. If they were working on something else, I suspect we'd have heard something by now.

D&D 5E (2014) So what exactly is Wizards working on?

I remember a Youtube video of Mearls trying to talk-up 4E in 2008 either just prior to or just after its release and him saying something like "This is the fastest, best, version of D&D yet". I thought it was funny because I could sense that he didn't really believe what he was saying. Also, I...

ELEMENTAL EVIL Player's Companion - FREE!

The images in the document are a bit sharper and darker in the WotC version too, maybe more hi-res... I can't page through the WotC version quite as easily either, but I have a slow computer.

D&D 5E (2014) Reasons Why My Interest in 5e is Waning

I feel like a tremendous opportunity is being squandered by WotC. The core 5E rules are great, IMHO the best version of D&D to date but it doesn't look that there will be much support for it other than the mega-adventures like Princes of the Apocalypse (which, I'm only lukewarm about) getting...

Look What ED GREENWOOOD Is Doing! Forgotten Realms: The Unofficial, Non-Canon, Unlicensed, Utterly U

What interests me the most about this is what it says about the future of a 5E Realms setting (an official one). If Ed is doing his own thing, which might turn out to be pretty cool (Ed Greenwood Presents Elminster's Forgotten Realms was very nice) then I see that as a sign that there probably...

    D&D 5E (2014) PHB...finally!

There have been more than five versions of the PHB made for the game.
