The rules/delivery for the Launch event is being done the new way, but the material for this season is from the Hardback (though I'm not specifying what that is or what part of it.) Future Launch Events will not always use material from the releasing book. Sometimes it will be totally unique.

There is one 5-hour (the intro), seven 2-hour, six 4-hour and the Epic is 4 hours this time (instead of the previous 3).

That's why we encourage a new 1st-level character and once you start playing this series, you cannot play anything else with that PC until you find a way out of the demiplane. That makes it basically self-contained and separate for the for the season; sort of a mini-campaign.

Yes, the AL adventures conclude in such a manner that you could escape the demiplane or go right into the main meat of the hardback.

BMG has moved locations at Gen Con and will not be back in the same location that made things difficult.

Its hard to say. It require them to be published in a final form in a product that could be used in the Forgotten Realms. Not knowing WOTC's product schedule plans, I can't give a definitive answer.

I run five conventions in WI and IL (which you are certainly welcome at, but if you don't come by we'll always cross paths at Gamehole). If I lost money on them, I wouldn't run them.

It definitely covers AL stuff. It won't cover AL questions that are not really related to the new change (or things controlled by the Admins and not WOTC).

Depends on the topic. We have a bunch of plans for things over the next week. Things like the next draft of the ALPG won't be till roughly WF or slightly after.
