Just discovered Dark Sun -- have questions!

The Dark Sun novels run the whole gambit of good to craptacular. The Prism Pentad was pretty much "High, i'm Troy Denning. Please enjoy these books as i destroy the Dark Sun setting book by book. Thank you for playing in my sandbox...now get out!" :p The first book was decent, the rest...

With these 4 books in my hands, i shall discover the secret to the anti-life equation, then the universe shall been mine!! bwahahahaha! Un...forget about...

Recomend me a good online place to buy RPG stuff from.

The two places i shop are: Price Owl http://www.priceowl.com - This place will let you search for any kind of book (not just game books!!) and then find the best prices from a bunch of different sources.(Amazon, Barnes and Noble, BooksAMillion, Bigger Books, ECampus, Buy.com, Half.com, Walmart...

    Recommended MnM house rules/errata?

Max Con + Amazing Save (DMG) +10 + Toughness = +17 save vs a 25 DC (a +10 Blast) means that the Brick Guy needs a 8 or higher to save (65% chance). Not invulnerable by any means. The Damage Save starts off already in the favor of the attacker for this reason. Since Brick guy has a feat, we'll...

    Recommended MnM house rules/errata?

I haven't seen it as that much of a problem. You take those guys down like you would any melee monster, from range or in numbers. Just like in D&D, an archer doesn't walk up to the armored axe freak and take a swing, he sits back and tears up that slow moving tank guy. :)

Translation: We'll change stuff later if we feel like it! :p

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

Yep. The regular DVD has these too. very helpful. Though i wonder if the info on the regular dvd isn't as recent on the DC version. I am definitely getting the PB and COR novels next week when i go into town. Sigh. ;) On my DVD it says that Riddick was hiding in the UV system and that the...

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

A good point. Even Pitch Black veterans had problems with COR. I think as gamers, we can "fill in the blanks" easier than your average movie goer. :) Was there a novelization for PB, does anyone know?

Not necessarily famous d20 game designers

Definitely John Tynes. Three Days to Kill is maybe the only store bought adventure that i ever liked. Its a shame that he has no real intentions of doing anymore D20 work (at least the last time i talked to him). We're going to have to kidnap him and chain him to a desk to write for D20! ;)

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

I think i will get the book, if only to see what they have to offer background wise. I'm still trying to track down the extra scences that are in the COR DC. So far it seems a scene were Riddick cuts loosed some energy or something and a female furyan scene. BTW...Great stuff James! I think...

    Recommended MnM house rules/errata?

A lot of people have had a problem where skills end up being too expensive. So much so that Steve Kenson himself suggested using a 2 for 1 skill point cost (2 ranks per power point). Also, as with all point-based games, be prepared for at least one player to want to pick up a villain's weapon...

    Multiclassing in Mutants and Masterminds

Er...you're missing the point. The system already does that. You're spending less points on power levels and getting a lot more varied powers than the laser guy. You are getting a price break on your Telepathy cause it only works underwater. That gives you more points for other things. Thats the...

Combining multiple D20 Systems (or I'm Delerious for D20!)

Although Spycraft got crappier for us each time we played it, Shadow Force Archer was a great setting. Really well crafted. Their psionic and magic rules were very cool too. The magic system was especially cool and i could see it used as a Cthulhu-esque game. Another vote for that book!

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

They are a quarter dead. Apparently thats not worth that much! :) The lord Marshall is half dead. The Quasi-dead are...well, quasi dead! :D I can definitely accept the immunity to pain, that much i thought obvious. Walking around with a knife stuck in your back is pretty oblivious to pain...

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

Okay. I just got done watching the two movies back to back. COR gets better every time i watch it. Before i get to my Intel report, i have a couple comments. First, i have only the Original Pitch Black and COR. I do not have the director's version, the cartoon, or the video game. Riddick as...

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

No kidding. I'm not taking anything as higher canon than the movies. feh! Although i could see Riddick lying about how it happened to appear tougher. He was playing the intimidate card when he explained the eyes in PB. Still, i don't like the "i passed out and all i got were these weird eyes"...

Thought from the Fool: AAP Sale over, and not a single wish lister bought it...

I didn't know about that feature. I'll give it some thought. Don't know if its right for me, though. I agree that its a feature that some publishers should pimp more. :)

Is that 5th edition an update to the original Ars system, or is it the new WW system they revised for the "New Age" World of Darkness?

Well anyone with either the cartoon or game can chime in with anything they think is vital. :D

Thought from the Fool: AAP Sale over, and not a single wish lister bought it...

This is how i use the feature mainly. Once the things on the wish list hit the minimum, i start buying. The problem becomes that after a while, after you've exhausted the supply of small pdfs to "get you over the top", it becomes a search for something that you don't mind buying too much, just...
