There is a 5th element...Ether. Some time this week i plan on watching the two DVDs (PB and COR)and take notes while watching them for names, systems, etc. See what i can come up with.

Thought from the Fool: AAP Sale over, and not a single wish lister bought it...

Well i put VoFT on my wish list, but it is the only thing on it right now. I'm not going to go scrounging for other things to put it over the dreaded 6.40. Oh well. I'm sorry for you, since its not your fault, but i'm not going to go and buy things i don't want just to get one thing that i do...

if you could run or play in ANY campaign RIGHT now...

Defenders are a terrific class, well made. Midnight is a very cool setting. Good luck! You'll need it. :) Played this game at Origins a few years back. It was a lot of fun. The DM/GM and his pals were kinda flabbergasted when we survived the whole adventure though. Hey, we were either...

    Best Fantasy Mecha rules?

Well in the Legends of Gea setting, they are mostly relics from the Usurper War (ahhh...the obligatory setting war, i love them so!). They were created by humans too late to save themselves, but there are remnants of these monstrosities scattered around the battle sites of the world. Some...

    Prestigous Woes...

The Generic Class rules in UA is the first big and beautiful step towards this new and greater D&D collective. Prestige Classes are irrelevent. You will comply. Resistance is futile.

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

I totally missed this post! Thats not a bad explanation. Riddick wasn't the only one doing crazy stuff on the planet. Jack also did some wire work in the fight, as did the Necromonger Captain guy. I put some of it up to action points (even though i am not crazy about them). ;)

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

Yep. Although i like the willl save bonus as the answer to that. Furyans defintely seem strongwilled to me. I don't doubt that Riddick had some extra juice, its just difficult to seperate what is Riddick and what is Furyan. Well, to start that movie, Riddick was the only left, then we found...

    Best Fantasy Mecha rules?

    Chronicles of Riddick future setting

I wonder they didn't call the Underverse, the Necro-Verse instead. As for wierd planet names, explorers and scientists have sense of humors, too. :) Not to mention, if you're some deep space explorer who has spent months or years isolated and under pressure, you're bound to be a bit loopy. I...

How long have you been with your gaming group?

I think tomorrow will make my new group's two month anniversary! :) We got together a group designed with a wide range of gaming system and genre preferences, so the group is open to anything anyone might want to play (or at least try out).

    American RPGS

the superhero game Golden Heroes/Squadron UK is from, well the UK :). I think its a free download these days. The Providence rpg/setting is from XID Creative (who i think no longer exists) who was/is a canadian company.

This thread got buried fast! Why must you live in Columbus. Curses! *shakes fist in air*

    RPGNow and the competition . . .

I'll find em, no matter where they are. They screwed up my theory! They will pay....

    RPGNow and the competition . . .

I just downloaded it. Your right. Well, either i misremembered the statistics that James and the Publishers quoted a while back on this board (most likely) that showed Enworld as the dominant factor, or the pdf consumer base has drastically changed. That sucks! Where is that old thread.... :heh:

PDF Chat -- For Further Questions

Even print books PPP can get maligned when compared to others. There is only so much consumer compassion to a publisher's plight. Rather than stress a weakness of the PDF business, I think the key is to stress the benefits of PDFs over Print. Or at least research whether or not the benefits suit...

    RPGNow and the competition . . .

Well it seems that at least one or two others didn't think it was obvious either. So i apologize for not being clearer. What??!! How dare you assume i venerate Christmas!! *gets out the chainsaw* :]

    RPGNow and the competition . . .

Well, again, it can be debated on how useful they are. But you learn things you didn't know after reading them, then nothing at all. So my belief that someone who doesn't read comments or click on review links that are provided by some, don't WANT to be educated. Sure some products at RPGNow...

    RPGNow and the competition . . .

I find that a stretch of plausibility. I don't think that threads with up to several thousand views are the same handful of people looking at the thread hundreds of times over. Hey, i didn't say it was a quality education! But whether or not it is or isn't, it does mean the viewer is...

I'm ready for Fourth Edition now (a brief manifesto)

Is four encounters per session really the norm? I don't think we could ever manage that! Granted, maybe our one encounter (or maaaaaybe two) is bigger than what an average encounter is supposed to be, but trying to run 4 encounters/combats in one session (or even in two sessions) seems...
