Thats good advice! Although the Divine & Defeated might make a good fourth book that will give what you need to run your own Scarred Lands world. The gods and Titans are completely entwined in the setting overall.

I think a lot more people are going to buy this book as an alternative to the minatures battle game that core D&D is. A lot more than the number of people who are going to buy it because they want a "Romantic Fantasy" game, i think.

Get the Hardcover setting book, Hollowfaust, and Divine & Defeated. Maybe the Wilderness book. Then make your own versions of everything else and you'll probably be better off. :]

Chalk up another enthusiastic thumbs up for the Psychic's Handbook. Its a skill/feat based psi system that is a vast improvement over D&D psionics. Don't want to allow some of the more sci-fi'ish psi-skills in the book. Say they don't exist. Its a WHOLE lot easier than trying to crowbar the D&D...

The Rank system was both mechancically sound and a real fun way to rate your character. having ranks in superstrength or dots in mega strength really can't compare to having Monstrous Strength!!! There was a lot to admire about Classic (the rpg game formerly known as Marvel).
