    D&D Worlds

Mystara... have less of chance than GH. Whose chance is not huge, but have anb oldschool appeal... Maybe a new setting, later. or they fleshen POL. Perhaps cultural serttings, like the three/four distant lands of FR and the D20 Nyambe.

    Subverting other sources for D&D. . .

Well, I have mixed Warcraft, Warhammer and Eberron for a 'noble savages' subrace of Orc, myself, and a Greys subrace for the common ones...

D&D 4E Preparing for 4e - What campaign will you run?

all in all... -animeish a bit - but I aim for a darker feels, seinen-like for the fans -catfolk race... thinkering how to make it a bit more PoL -Conanesque approach to religion - an 'all-star' pantheon -much default D&D witrh races and most other bits.... -... but aiming for less used...

D&D 4E Preparing for 4e - What campaign will you run?

I have not made really much progress in my long-though world.... I will probably continue, and perhas put a slightl darker edge...

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

You have read what I have posted? the italian dude pointed well that dwarves, elves, etc... as presented are hardly enormously more basic fantasy. They are quite specific to not even the whole of western europe, but the celtic-germanic area. You frequently forget that we are not all 'anglos'...

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

ZOMG!!! (I would be more a Shadowrun person, but it's even harder to find a dm or players around...)

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

You know... That remind me of a criticism an italian player gave on the big unofficial Shadowrun forum. His point was that Shadowrun is indeed quite not generic with the 'metahuman, expressions... while he liked the variant subraces offered in 3rd ed, he complained that such races have really...

    No more Malcanthet?

I didn't watch it much, but yes, it have another *and quite simpler) cosmology - elemental and anti-elemental planes, the Grey (deads's lands?) and the Black and White, I think.... Astral, Etheral, quite changed. Something like that... anyone could correct me please?

Why are they keeping ability scores?

Ability scores seems more logical than not - not everyone is egal. Somes are strong, somes are uncharismatic, somes are weak...

    No more Malcanthet?

Note that many of such changes are also old.... Things made by DM since the start. Not every classic settings used the Wheel, you know. A big one was Dark SUn.

The Tielfling and The Gnome: On the Set of 4th edition

D&D 4E 4E Halflings unrecognizable from Tolkien hobbits

I have a few different ideas... I have two posible slightly different dwarven archetypes - Kurdes and others Caucasians (hardy, clannish and proud montain folks), and Tibetan and related cultures (the tibetans used to be a warlike and proud people, surprisingly, and some related minorities kept...

    D&D Worlds

Dark SUn, on the other hands, could be easily translated... as Birtright. (But Birtright is very minor a setting, and not so liked)

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

! Holy crud, dude! You just have An idea moment! Tiefling, remixed, could be used for the Ultima pc games serie's Gargoyle race!!! Perfect for a D20 adaptation! (or the Dragonborns?)

On the origin of species: Warforged

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

I agree with mourn... albeit... this bit made me laugh out loud.

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

So, instead to be cool, you'd rather remove it? (I was talking of the 'angsty anti-heroes' and options going for it) I really would have used that smiley now... Why this stereotype is less good than the other common steerotypes?
  18. The Ubbergeek

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

And what if the 'angsty anti-heroes' are not as bad as the 'testosterone-injected warriors' or the 'wise mages', as old and used archetypes? Why can't players play what they want, as long everyone have fun?
  19. The Ubbergeek

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

I kind of is irritated by this complain on angsty antiheroes... seems to imply worse - a preferal for stereotypical races set in stone. All evil, all dark, etc... No one different...
