is Dungeons and Dragons still Lame

As far I know (talking daily with a swede), it's the leading christian denomination of Scandinavia (including finland). or so I think I remember, and the stereotypical, religious conservatives there are the lutherian pastor and his crowd. If I'm wrong, well... *shrugs*

To much combat and not enough "roleplaying"!

But then, WHY did you need to do rolls for social encounter? Can't you... I don't know... roleplay them?

To much combat and not enough "roleplaying"!

The problem is.. Rules can't force you to roleplay. Or help you there, much. You seems to think you need rules to act, to be social (albeit I like social rules, for the challenged social guys like me - we are not all Guy Bertrand or Mulroney).

    Balancing act!

I dunno, but for all we always said of WOTC, they are very devoted to balance -generaly.

Actually, there was progress in knowledges on farming in middle age - it was not modern era's successes with sciences, but in peacefull times, they where not that famished. 3...

RA Salavatore Books vs 4.0 E

Drizzt was young by drow standart - 100 more years, he'd still be alive. Artemis will not... unless he found a magical way to cheat Death. He is shown to be aging, even. The guy's strenght and speed started to decline...

The minuses of pluses, the pluses of minuses.

No race is similar to each other, still. They have all something specialised for them. They have all a strenght.

See it that way. Everyone have the same mediocre base. The bonus pulls the random Joe upward.

Any words on a french edidtion?

You know, not everyone on the world speak english... WOTC would gain quite more sales if they could be sure of great, quality translations.

THREE elven races, plus half-elves ... but they say gnomes have no niche?!

It seems logical to me that if the campaign book of a setting who use a race who is not in the base PHB could come first before the book who hold it, it could take the race first. *shrugs* Gnomes are not a PHB1 race, and apparently a more minor race -not so in eberron and fr. So...

Any words on a french edidtion?

Nothing bad against them - like both peoples. Just that the brazilian rpg market is small for the population size and there is more francophones than italophones. *shrugs* Anyway, any infos?
