[Fiery Dragon] Counter Collection Heroic 2 - PRINT VERSION

I just got the tow heroic ones as pdfs. I am living overseas and I was unable to locate a retailer in Germany that carries your products, which surprised me, as I remember having bought those 3rd Collections in store. I really like the new counters, but I am unable to locate the template pdf at...

    Chaos Scar!

The more recent ones use Dungeon Tiles for the Map, just as the Delves do. I actually plan to mix in a couple of Delves into the campaign. As I said above, what imrpessed me most were the connections. If the adventures published so far, with a small town added and maybe two more on the road...

    Chaos Scar!

I now this is mayor thread necromancy, but why start a new one? Because of a TPK my Revenge of the Giants campaign ended prematurely and I am not really sad about that. The adventure was way to linear for my taste. As we agreed on going for a low level classic D&D campaign, my first thought...

Why I am giving up on Scales of War

Thats something. I really liked the "trillogy" adventures in Dungeon mag. The new one seems good to (Something about Ion), but "... of the Abyss" (Returns to the Against the Giants Series) and Seeds of Sehan just seemed more special.

Why I am giving up on Scales of War

I'm neither a SoW nor an online DM, but I now the problem you are talking about fairly well. My group tends to spend a lot of time doing random things in town (or during travel, or... allways) and we tend to not get as many combats or planed action sequences done per session as I would like. An...

    Debut: Ardent

Hmm, I am sorry to say, but I am quite disappointed. I was expecting the psionic classes to be as special as the primal ones. The ardent feels more like a psionic variation of the warlord, not as special as the shaman.

Creating Magic Items with Multiple Properties

hmm, I think this system might be quite useful for to make treasure found by the group special. While the avagare "Loot Shop" might sell you Flaming Swords, the Holy Flame of Tempus (holy flaming sword) is a special one you would never be able to buy in a shop. I like your system :)

Fatigue Effects - long term effects of random encounters and traveling

hmm... 1 - I do not think this is an issue but the reason I created this system. I wanted combat to be more like in older editions of the game, where the PCs sometimes retreat because some combat went really bad. Also, remember that these effects are not common at all: 1 of these would effect...

    Ashardalon

Which is actually why I like him... Tiamat adventures (Well, Red Hand of Doom is the only one I know) seem to be about dragons and draconic Creatures only... and Hobgoblins...

    Ashardalon

That would be fantastic. I'm beginning to get the impression tough, that an Ashardalon based campaign is not necessarily a dragon themed campaign...

    Wound System

I like your system and I think I will combine it with my fatigue system, as I like more varied effects :)

    Ashardalon

Thanks! So, if you would to a return to, what are the essential moments of the series? Parts one should not miss? Sofar, I think there is the Gulthias Tree, Nightfang SPire and a fight with Ashardalon on another plane. I just can not see a lot of plot there. What is actually happening? The PCs...

Fatigue Effects - long term effects of random encounters and traveling

I started creating these conditions as failure effects for skill challenges only, which I use very often. I added the combat aquireing only because in our game playing three or more encounters on a single in game day is often no option, as it translates into two to three sessions of fighting. It...

    A 4e "fix" book...

I think a new Unearthed Arcana, fully integrated into the Character Builder and Adventure Tools would be great. They could put in some of the most common house rules, like all those "Reduced Monster HP / Increased Damage) rules, I would love a solid crafting system etc. Actually, I fully...

    Ashardalon

I recently sat back and analysed the campaigns I ran during the last couple of years with my current gaming group. I noticed, that I do not use Dragons much. They are sometimes used as semi random encounters or helpers, but never as the true masterminds or threats. I guess that is, because I...

    Best House rules you've encountered

Stalker0s Obsidian Skill Challenge System and eamons Simpler Treasure System with (mostly) Random Loot both fix things in 4e to be closer to my prefered style of gaming.

Fatigue Effects - long term effects of random encounters and traveling

I was trying to find an effect for each damage type, but in the first version cold and fire, acid and poison, lightning and psychic shard one effect (reduced Defense). Acid would work as an AC reducer, too. Actually, I'm rather unhappy with the acid effect, as it will prolong combats, something...

Fatigue Effects - long term effects of random encounters and traveling

Fatigue Effects Fatigue Effects are similar to diseases. They can be used as negative effects to help simulate travel and exploration wear on the group. The group acquires fatigue effects as a result of failed skill challenges and individuals can suffer them after certain conditions in combat...

    Limited number of combat rounds

@StarFox - some great ideas. I begin to feel this change might be to much for my group though. I guess I will try some other methods of speeding up combat first.
