D&D General Treasure - how much, how often, and how does your group divide it

Yes, they likely thought it through, being that is one of their go to tricks. The cruelty of it doesn't seem to phase them much, but then again, who is overly sympathetic to a Yeth Hound and other horrible creatures. The space limit has come up, more that the size of the creature won't fit...

D&D General Treasure - how much, how often, and how does your group divide it

Yep, I admit I dropped the ball there. However, when I was asked to show some new folk how to play, I brought in some seasoned players to help me teach them the game. I think I might have relied on them a bit too much. Lesson learned.

D&D General Treasure - how much, how often, and how does your group divide it

They have never thought of that. It certainly would be easier (the fish option that is). Nope, not yet anyway. I suppose that type of negotiation might come up eventually. Since most of them can't be bothered to keep track of loot, they've just accepted it as fact that whoever is keeping track...

    D&D 5E (2014) Crafting armor from a Beholder's hide/scales

I've now got a spreadsheet outlining what items are needed to craft beholder armor, as well as additional reagents, enchanter's fees and time needed to enchant it. Looking at the Armor table in the PHB, I decided that Scale Mail, Breastplate, or Half-plate could all be crafted. If the party is...

    D&D 5E (2014) Crafting armor from a Beholder's hide/scales

Good idea limiting the hover speed. However, even at 1 minute I have to resign myself to the fact that, should he get this armor crafted, I'm going to have a cave bear flying about the battlefield. Its only 20 feet so it shouldn't cause too much chaos.

    D&D 5E (2014) Crafting armor from a Beholder's hide/scales

The druid in question already collects penis trophies from combat victories. I am definitely NOT going to be giving him this idea. :D

D&D General Treasure - how much, how often, and how does your group divide it

Yes, the bag of holding is a party item. The tricky party is nailing down who is carrying it, so they all can't say "I reach into the bag of holding and pull out x." They just obtained a second one, but from the sounds of it, they intend on using the second one for storing 'harvested materials'...

    D&D 5E (2014) Crafting armor from a Beholder's hide/scales

Since its a druid asking these questions, I think he'd prefer medium armor so I'm leaning toward scale, half-plate or a breastplate. The breastplate doesn't impose disadvantage on stealth, so we'll probably land there... I was thinking of some sort of limited fly speed and possibly spell...

    D&D 5E (2014) Crafting armor from a Beholder's hide/scales

TL/DL; What would Beholder Armor give you? The druid in my game has made it clear that he's on the lookout for an armor upgrade. He asked how rare magical studded leather is and whether it would require attunement. He said that it is likely the best armor he could hope for. I responded that if...

D&D General Treasure - how much, how often, and how does your group divide it

Before finding a bag of holding (that is, at low levels while the party is poor), the coins are divvied up and other loot is held until it can be sold. Loot (coins, art, gems & jewels) generally just gets thrown into the bag of holding and party expenses come out of that. If any party member...
