    What's the color of Sonic?

Orange, just 'cause that's what my gut tells me.

    Preliminary Qualifying Round IS OVER!

I'm surprised doge is so hated and the raise dead mechanics are so well recieved. Sure dodge is annoying but its not intregal to the system.

    A generalist wizard feat

Too powerful, unless you scaled the bonus back to +1. Generalist wizards are generally more powerful than specialist already too.

    Hoplite Combat Feat-- Too strong?

Exact house rule I use in my game :)

    Balanced Race? Judge the 'Perfects'

Too weak for +2 LA IMO, proably a little strong for +1 LA, but I'd allow it at that. If it turns out to be a problem just make PCs who are perfects take their next level as +1 more LA. Make it clear at character creation that this might happen if they prove to be unbalanced.

Star Wars Saga, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

You could always just have no NPCs with the NPC class, they have only heroic class levels.

Do you plan out your character's advancement in advance?

That sounds a little extreme, might as well retire the old character and make a new one at that point rather than smash suspension of disbelief into tiny pieces.

    [SWSE] Observation about ability scores...

In games that I use action points the character's add their charisma modifier as a bonus to the number they get. I'll eventually do the same thing in my star wars game but I want to run the game vanilla for a while first. It's always bothered me that charisma doesn't do something mildly useful...

    SW Saga: Resilience vs. Equilibrium

While we're on the subject the Soldier talent, indomitable lets you remove all non-persistent conditions 1/day as a swift action. Doesn't cost a force point but it can't be used as often in a given day unless taken multiple times.

    Climb, Jump, Swim...

I've been thinking the same thing about those 3 skills. But I'm going to run my upcoming saga game with the default rules and make any changes after a couple sessions (obviously if we ended up combining these skills players would get a refund on a trained skill if they took more than one of...

    [SWSE] Fiddling

For skills at least I have a simple solution I intend to use: Only your starting trained skills must come from you class skill list. You must still be force sensitive to take Use the Force. So if you want to spend a feat later on training in a skill not on your class skill list you can.

Star Wars Saga, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Jango Fett held his own against Obi Wan, they were pretty much evenly matched. Of course Jango Fett was killed rather handily by Mace Windu. What I found very surprising in episode 3 was how easily the Clone Troopers killed off the Jedi. But if you stick to the original trilogy I don't think...

Isn't Success in D&D Dependent Upon Murder?

D&D was originally based in a pseudo medieval setting so it has retained pseudo medieval sensibilities, one of those being killing a lot of people to get ahead is okay (as long as they aren't the wrong people to kill) and pursuing the goal of having a ton of money to throw around is good...

    balanced or not?

I think w/o the -2 con elves are strong +0 LA, like dwarves. Elves get: +2 Dex, lowlight vision, +2 spot/search/listen, detect secret doors, and +2 vs enchantment oh and the weapon proficiencies which, aren't that great even at low levels. You could still make a case for dwarves being stronger...

Star Wars Saga, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Key is to tell them that a d20 is made of triangles, a d12 is not, usually seems to help the newbs I've gamed with.

I like your dire rat example GreatLemur, think I'll steal it for my next game!

And his words were as honey...

I'd never allow this feat. Charisma is a weak enough ability already, it doesn't need int replacing it too.

    A heavier blunt implement.

Heavy flail also gets +2 to disarm and can trip people. So it makes up for the lower damage. Greatclubs get screwed but they are also very easy to find make (find a tree, cut it down shape a handle).

    Strength based monks?

Strength based monks are better than dex focused ones. They do more damage and have a higher attack bonus with out having to use weapon finese. They suffer in the stealth department but are better at other signature monk skills like climbing or jumping. I'd take an 18 strenght, 12 dex monk...
