WotC WotC President Cynthia Williams Resigns

Yeah. They don't. But they are obvious, very loud, and difficult to ignore. :) Look, I recognize that part of the problem here is that because people feel betrayed ( whether that is a reasonable or appropriate thing in the OGL rug yanking is an entirely different conversation ) but one has to...

To WotC and/or the Dungeons and Dragon trademark? Absolutely. ORC was enlightened self-interest.

The trademark has not be damaged. The trademark has vastly more value outside of TTRPG than inside it. OGL products haven't even MENTIONED the tie to D&D since the D20STL ended. No. This did did less damage than Pat Pulling to the trademark.

While I don't spot anything factually incorrect, I also don't see anything supporting damage to WotC.

Or maybe she wasn't. Maybe it was decided on high because they thought it impacted licensing opportunities and was dictated further up. Without her or others directly involved sharing tea, it's all idle speculation. Is it reasonable to assume? I'm not even sure on that.

Nothing. Those goalposts are in the back of a speeding earth-mover.

Yes. It is shortsighted. But ultimately, they care more about paying customers than pleasing past customers. Even though, ironically, are the reason their biggest customers ( licensors ) value the property. But it won't change perception long term. I do t it would trend upward for more than a...

WotC WotC President Cynthia Williams Resigns

I am, honestly, sincerely dubious this would generate good press of any lasting value. The people that want this are very likely not ( in a meaningful way ) customers and many of them haven't been since TSR was the brand. Aside from being seen as keeping their word ( which most of ya'll expect...

What Non-D&D TSR RPGs Needs to be Revived?

Kingsman might be the best choice. One of the problems with the Spy genre is outside of a few examples its so solo. When you move to "troubleshooter with espionage" ( Kingsman, Charlies Angels, Doc Savage even ) you have better room for a party.

What Non-D&D TSR RPGs Needs to be Revived?

The High Adventure game is definitely offlimits until 2029. The XXV game seemed more like a Cyber and Genepunk reskin of the 70s TV show but my copy appears to be in hiding at the moment.

What Non-D&D TSR RPGs Needs to be Revived?

Several of the Amazing Engine settings were solid. The engine, as I recall, was a bit meh. I agree Alternity was way more interesting than came across. D20 Modern is probably my choice. Narrator But it was not a valid choice for the inquiry... *edit - wrong timeline.
