Looking for Tact-tiles (or a decent facsimile!)

I am not a lawyer, but as I noted earlier, the trademark's registered as of a few days after Ashrem initially claimed he owned it. Here're the details: Great Victory Widgets is located in Vancouver, BC. Chris Beukeveld works for or owns Great Victory Widgets (he sent in a tip to Roleplaying...

Looking for Tact-tiles (or a decent facsimile!)

They registered the trademark right after the initial spate of arguments about who owned the name. I have no reason to doubt that Ashrem did purchase the name from the original manufacturers, in some sense (i.e., he gave someone money and someone signed a contract saying "you own the name now")...

    Best RPGA Adventures (Part II)

I think that's quite likely, actually. Even if you assume the number of new LFR players remains fairly constant, you're still going to see the ratio swinging towards the higher level tiers. I think the new 1-4s are getting really good, though.

Yeah -- this is just the 1-4s.

Hey, it'd be awesome if you started posting these reviews to the ENWorld review site instead of just posting offsite links!

    RPGA - Mini-Campaign Review?

MINI 1-2 is cooler than MINI 1-1. Better social interaction, and an awesome group of NPCs. I had a ton of fun running this. Note: MINI 1-1 is already pretty darned cool. Now I'm anxious; I dunno if MINI 1-3 can hold up! Also I want to know how it /ends/ already.

    Gygax Games - something afoot?

Wouldn't have to be Hasbro -- Gygax Games could use the GSL and publish a 4e version of Castle Zagyg themselves. Although this seems like a very unlikely outcome.

    RPGA - Mini-Campaign Review?

Oh yes. You'll get much more out of these if you play up the exotic setting; read the various articles on Tarmalune before DMing 'em. OP: be aware that if you do not run the MINI modules on low tier with new characters, the characters will level past fourth level before you complete all six...

    Wotc takes on ... Optimization?!?

I imagine it's not aimed at either CharOp or those of us who understand CharOp but don't choose to use it. Play some LFR; you'll soon discover that plenty of people blithely start with a 16 or less in their primary stat, for example. (More power to them; they are no less fun to play with!) And...

    RPGA - Mini-Campaign Review?

I've run MINI1-1; my private group had a blast, but then again it's an awesome group. We didn't find it very challenging on low tier, even though everyone was 1st level. Getting through the last fight unscathed was sort of a matter of luck, however. If certain NPCs had rolled better it could...

    Not so great RPGA adventures?

Wait, Encounter 5's skill challenge? The Athletics DCs are 10/12. I'm not sure what you're talking about here.

    Not so great RPGA adventures?

You don't have to write in your region. Here's the details from the recent post on how to submit: Note that contacting your regional POC is what you do if you're looking to do fill in work. FWIW, a quick count of Core modules shows 11 authors across 14 modules. I haven't looked over all the...

Anyone know what's up with the WotC forums?

Sometimes the things we know trip one up... It's actually a cookies issue. If you remove all Wizards cookies from your browser, you'll be able to log in again. I believe their cookies are non-persistent, so closing the browser happens to have that effect. On the other hand, this is definitely...

Yet Another Set of Condition Cards

Like all GMs, I like things better when I've made them myself, so I whipped up a set of condition cards that match my needs. Here're my design goals: I wanted something very clean. I thought about color for a second but I don't really need it for anything. Simple, no borders, as much room as...
