My latest Dungeon Tiles storage solution

I like the idea of ziplocs by theme. I'm currently using the Infile hanging boxes, btw -- Target sells them.

Very disappointed in DU5: Sinister Woods

FWIW, I printed out 18 tiles from the Fat Dragon Games Forest Adventures set, glued them back to back, and laminated them -- now I have a nice set of nine tiles which can make a 24" x 24" space. The back sides have rivers on them if I need that. So that's one answer.

Dungeon Tiles 'Harrowing Halls' to use 3D elements.

Don't know that we should assume they'll be cardstock -- you could certainly do something of the more usual tile weight with slots and tabs to make for 3D elements. I'm pretty curious either way. (I am a big fan of the papercraft, FWIW. Lots of Fat Dragon PDFs in my library.)

I'll get to try out 4e this weekend, advice?

My top ten stumbling blocks for 3e players are here: 3E to 4E: Stumbling Blocks « Claw/Claw/Peck

How many cycles of 4E core books will you buy?

As long as they maintain the current level of quality, I'll buy 'em. I expect the hardest sell in this regard will be the DMGs, but I didn't expect the DMG2 to be as good as it was, so who knows?

Tiles and Maps, Actually Printed -- NOT Pdf. Any Ideas?

Descent tiles, of course. Although it's a pricy solution.

    4E Class Survivor - Round 11

Vote rogue. The rogue is responsible for the Daggermaster paragon path, which is probably taken by as many sorcerers as rogues. This is silly; there must be vengeance.

4E Class Survivor - Round 10 (make your prediction)

I voted for rogue, cause it's the only class that tends to make the DM remember the ultra-fiddly concealment/hiding rules. Alas, I think it'll survive till the last three, along with the wizard and the fighter.

How many practice sessions did you have?

We started from scratch; the campaign is still going 20 sessions later.

    Tact-Tiles Mk II set

Yeah, you don't have to register it, as I understand it. But you do have to defend it -- might be as easy as letting the USPTO know that you have an established trademark. You can get the name of the guy handling this application if you search for the application, and he's probably the right...

    Tact-Tiles Mk II set

No offense meant, Ashrem, but do you own the Tact-Tiles trademark? A search on "Tact-Tiles" in the USPTO database only brings up a trademark application dated April 7, 2009, by a Christopher Beukeveld from Canada. Walking through the documentation attached, this is clearly Great Victory Widgets...

If IKEA Made a Dedicated Gaming Table, Would You Buy It?

I have a Bjursta table from Ikea. It fits nicely in our dining nook for normal use, and when I want to game I slap in the extender leaves and it easily accomodates six people plus GM. Some of it's pine, some of it's particleboard -- I knew what I was buying when I got it, and I'm satisfied. It...

    Living Forgotten Realms

I'll second that, even without the "I have written" bit. Seeing how different DMs handle an adventure is fascinating and enlightening and has certainly made me a better DM.

Is my DM setting us up for failure? [Minor Spoilers for Demon Queen's Enclave]

True. But that's the other half of it -- a competent party can buzzsaw through H1 even down a PC. I suspect that becomes much less true at paragon tier.

Is my DM setting us up for failure? [Minor Spoilers for Demon Queen's Enclave]

This is actually true, if you look at the math. I'm not defending anything else the DM has done, but I ran half of Keep on the Shadowfell for a 4 PC party, unmodified, and when I was dividing the experience by 4 they were leveling very quickly. Let's see... my group picked up 54,000 experience...

Dragon Con: A Sight of the Schism in action

There's a nice long thread on Living Forgotten Realms here: http://www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discussion/264167-so-what-thoughts-rpga.html May or may not be your cup of tea, but that ought to give you enough info to make an educated guess as to whether or not you'd enjoy it.

Dragon Con: A Sight of the Schism in action

I think it's been a wild success. Lots of people playing it at cons, very good sales, etc.

Dragon Con: A Sight of the Schism in action

Heck, it's even hit a couple of other boards at this point. I don't think it's any ill-will; once a thread goes over a page, a lot of people just read the first few posts and then respond. Maybe they read the last page if you're lucky.

Dragon Con: A Sight of the Schism in action

Let's be meticulously precise: the Pathfinder Core book was the best seller for a month or so. I'd be leery of assuming that meant Pathfinder as a whole was outselling D&D as a whole. Maybe yes, maybe no, but let's not assume. As of this post, the DMG 2 and Revenge of the Giants are both...

Dragon Con: A Sight of the Schism in action

That's right! I was remembering someone on some board mentioned they played there, but I couldn't remember who. I'm the guy who's usually DMing; I'll say hi next time we're there and you guys don't look like you're in the middle of an encounter. Or kick me in the chair and say "stop sitting in...
