I'm really intrigued by Hammerfast and Vor Rukoth. As a homebrewing DM, I’m not really all that interested in the campaign settings they put out, but detailed locations that I can just plop down in my world may be a very tempting type of product.

ShadowRun wowed me in a big way. The mechanics are so-so, but the setting is so amazingly awesome and the way the supplements present much of said fluff through the postings of ShadowRunners is just icing on the cake. I think ShadowRun had the only supplements that I've read cover-to-cover.

Yeah, the only thing you left out was classes. I don't consider six ability scores a must, because there was a time D&D had seven and it still felt like D&D to me.

I'm very interested in this game. Thanks a ton, Alikar. On the topic of generating PCs/NPCs. Have you created one from scratch yet? If so, how long do you think it takes? I'm talking just base mechanics here (I know players can spend countless hours fleshing out personalities and such).

I've had my players face up to eight encounters in a day. They were, naturally, completely spent (I think the players were spent mentally as well). This was prior to Divine Power.

Well maybe the 3.5/Pathfinder crowd won't care (all the better really). :) It just seems like a lot of the most vocal complaints about the direction 4th Edition "fluff" goes comes from some of those who don't even play 4th Edition. Regardless, I stand (happily) corrected. :D

I imagine that the Demonomicon will irritate a lot of the 3e/Pathfinder crowd because I think some things will change to fit the defacto 4e cosmology. As a 4e player and DM, however, I'm very excited about the product.
