D&D 5E (2014) The most obvious spell, and it's always missing

My suggestion is to not try to take a Long Rest until your DM wants you to. Because it takes quite a lot to interrupt and force a restart on a Long Rest. If the DM rules 'any combat' interrupts then the only real option is to 'let the Wookie win'. There's no spell that will stop DM ex machina.

D&D 5E (2014) The most obvious spell, and it's always missing

You mean the 8th level Enchantment spell on PHB p214 or some other effect?

D&D 5E (2014) The most obvious spell, and it's always missing

Leomund's Tiny Hut - available as a ritual (no slot used). Mearls had long rest only interrupted by an encounter or combat that lasted an hour. Otherwise you are describing Antipathy a Level 8 spell.

    D&D 5E (2014) Errata for MM & DMG?

Not really a question. Should be about 10 days away. Third Monday of the month is December 21. http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?473567-What-happened-to-the-errata-corrige

D&D 5E (2014) Ditching concentration - did you do it?

There was no "pre-publish" feedback on the change from the general open playtest. Did you vote for it? I expect there were a lot of votes for it (check on damage). Maybe thousands out of 175,000. But then 12 months of no changes sounds like there were many who liked it the way it was and...

D&D 5E (2014) Ditching concentration - did you do it?

The Concentration rules during the playtest were unchanged for over a year right up to launch - 1 Spell at a time, Concentration lost by Stunned (now Incapacitated which is less than Stunned), Unconscious, Death, or a 'Severe distraction'. Then the published rules added the 'any damage' clause...

D&D 5E (2014) Ditching concentration - did you do it?

And Rangers, Paladins, and Eldritch Knights get a double buff.

D&D 5E (2014) Ditching concentration - did you do it?

One of the options would be to just play an "unbalanced" game and be fine with that. Failing that, kill them early and often.

D&D 5E (2014) Ditching concentration - did you do it?

I removed the Roll to maintain Concentration aspect in most situations because of the style of HP I use in my game. When an opponent successfully hits an Armor Class they aren't causing Injuries or Wounds by default but just a loss of HP. This doesn't mesh with making a Concentration check...

    Homebrew Rogue Archetype: Charismatic Bastard

I suggest switching it to "Cunning Linguist". A little curious on the double dip for 'additional language' at level 3. 2+1 additional languages. When you go down that road sometimes there is a tendency to add details that you normally wouldn't because someone can do something. For example...

    D&D 5E (2014) Not liking Bounded Accuracy

I propose you do what you want at your table and everyone else does what they want at their table. That's the essense of 5e. What you are proposing is 5.5e or 6e and you can take that out back and shoot it.

    D&D 5E (2014) OotA: Duergar in Sloobludop

Hemeth was leading our group to Gracklestugh when he had the unfortunate fate of being the only character to fall in a randomly rolled Sinkhole in an encounter with Escaped Slaves (from Gracklestugh). He didn't make it out of that hole alive.

    Homebrew Rogue Archetype: Charismatic Bastard

Some thoughts... First off this reminds me of the “Diplomancer” style build one might find in 3.x/PF where in certain situations the character essentially removes options from the game because they are so good in that situation. Much like a “Can't-Hit-Me” tank ends up not getting attacked...

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like RAVENLOFT

If this year is like last year, we still have over a month before they unveil the spring Event. Last year was January 20 when Elemental Evil was announced (although a non-released product was leaked much earlier).

D&D 5E (2014) Can I ask questions about home brew stuff here?

The House rules forum is probably the best place. http://www.enworld.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?7-D-amp-D-House-Rules-Homebrews-amp-Conversion-Library

    D&D 5E (2014) What happened to the errata/corrige?

I didn't make the list. I guess we need an errata for the bloggers errata.

    D&D 5E (2014) On Lingering Injuries

    a) Yes b) balancing the narrative elements of fate/luck/skill based HP with the actual ability to get injured in a lasting way c) I gate it behind a second roll like many here - mine is roll a HD of your class and reduce your maximum by that amount until you recover (naturally), however on a '1'...

    D&D 5E (2014) What happened to the errata/corrige?

Guess they didn't want the Draft Horse to be the preferred mount over Riding and War. Probably should go straight to Jeremy for a list. Since they did do an errata on the MM.
