    Wizard Limitations

Keep in mind that the two free spells aren't literally supposed to come out of nowhere, anymore than new levels themselves do. It's assumed that the PCs have been practicing and researching "off camera" until the point at which they level. Why? It's probably not necessary from a balance...

    Rulings on Ray of enfeeblement

To give a rationale, a dice roll is not a variable, numeric effect. Your wizard doesn't cast magic missile and then stand there tossing caltrops d4s. The effect of magic missile is not really 1d4+1 damage, but 2-5 damage with a particular distribution. And that's the variable numeric effect...

    Rulings on Ray of enfeeblement

The idea is that a ray spell should never also require a reflex save, since your touch AC represents your chance of the ray avoiding you. But rays which aren't just energy damage often allow a fortitude or will save to avoid the effects. (Such as disintegrate or ray of exhaustion.) Making the...

    Reserve Feats for healers?

A healing reserve feat sounds doable, but it would work differently than the blasting feats. Rather than an at will ability, it would have to be something that took some down time to trigger. Maybe a feat which healed the entire party while you slept, depending on the highest level (healing)...

How many forums do you follow?

Right now, pretty much just enworld and the WOTC Psionics board. I used to follow 3rdedition.org's boards pretty loyally, but when it changed management it went downhill; plus, I found the ads too annoying/intrusive. I still check both it and monte cooks boards occasionally, but never post...

Giant-hurled boulders: Should they be ranged touch attacks?

A good candidate for replacing with Brutal Throw is Improved Sunder (or possibly Improved Overrun.) If by "like touch attacks" you mean "exactly the opposite of touch attacks" then, yes. ^_^ Well, Hill giants aren't always as tactical as that. Holds for the rest of them, but then the OP...

Does anybody know where I can find a "stampede damage" mechanic?

Isn't there something in the DMG2 about mobs? I think maybe they can be used to model stampedes.

Redesigning Each Class Using the Fighter As a Model

Agreed. I played a PC using a slightly modified version of the the generic class system, and it seemd to work pretty well.

    Gestalt as a level adjustment

You can see the nerfed epic MT here. It's one of those examples of brain rot on the part of WotC. It alternates your arcane and divine spell casting alternately, and grants a bonus feat every 6 levels! You could simply alternate in your base classes and get the same spell casting...

    Gestalt as a level adjustment

Even when we're only comparing pure combat prowess, being able to take punishment definitely translates into power too.

    Requesting 'Bluff' Help and others...

It's actually a specific, game-defined category of effect. If a spell or effect doesn't explicitly state that it's mind affecting, it's not. In other words, the illusion will work on the zombie; it'll act exactly as it normally would to a crate.

Ways to make a guy "helpless"?

For some reason you must have neglected to look for the list under special abilities. (I have no idea why it's not under equipment.) Oh, and Complete Adventurer also has a list of the same poisons, with the craft DCs.

Ways to make a guy "helpless"?

Poison which produces paralysis or unconsciousness would work. Tying them up or knocking them out are two methods not mentioned so far. It would help to know what you're trying to accomplish: if it's defeating an opponent, obviously these don't really help.

Invocations for a Far Realm-flavored Warlock

It could produce a baleful teleport like effect on those inside. (Although, probably not 9d6 damage a round. ^_^) There's also the Rending Rift power in Untapped Potential, which allows you to:

Help Me Build a Dwarf Psychic Warrior

Isn't there a feat in Races of Stone that lets you expend psionic focus to up your AC by 3 as an immediate action? (I think it was even reprinted in CompPsi.) That might be better than psionic body, since as others noted AC can be more important than hp. There's also a psionic dwarven prestige...

    Riding an invisible mount?

I'm guessing that someone with actual training doesn't ever actually look at their mount while riding. My vote is no penalty at all, at least for someone with ranks in Ride. But someone who has actually ridden a horse should weigh in on this.

    More Bonus Feats for Wizard

Well, we have the following variables to play with: Spell slots per day Spells known Spell list Caster level Save DC's Spells per day is probably one of the easiest to play with, as well as the spell list itself. Simply push each line down the chartby one level; then sorcs and wizards will...

    Level Adjustment for Spontaneous Casting?

I'm sure that this is too high. Having the perfect spell for any occasion is damn useful, but not so useful that it's worth sacrificing four levels for. Just comparing spells alone: I'd bet that, combat wise, even the spell directly tailored towards a particular opponent can be outdone by a...
