    Mirror Image vs Cleave

Right, but it's pretty clear from the (rather numerous) FAQ entries on mirror images, that although by the rules they are figments they are to be treated as creatures. (Can be targeted by magic missile, for instance.)

    Mirror Image vs Cleave

Even if that were true by the RAW, I'd recommend going with what actually makes sense in this case.

Does Remove Paralysis Affect Stunned Targets?

There's also this: stun is more of a mental condition, while all the others listed affect you more physically. (You can take mental actions while paralyzed, but not while stunned.) That's somewhat flavor based, but it might make a good rule of thumb about what remove paralysis can effect.

    Knock-Down

It's fine as long as you don't allow it to stack with the extra attack from Improved Trip, I think. (Improved trip lets you get another attack as if you hadn't used it to make a trip attack, but in this case you're allotted an attack which can only be used for tripping.) If the PC's normally...

Can you Cleave with Lay on Hands?

Well, the description of LoH states that the paladin decides how many of her daily allotment of points to use as damage after successfully touching an undead creature. And I'm gauntlets just modify your unarmed strike to deal lethal damage. They don't change any of the other rules.

taking 10 - exactly what skills and skill uses are covered?

Yup, if you try a knowledge check and fail, this indicates that:

Can you Cleave with Lay on Hands?

One thing to note is that you can combine a touch attack with an unarmed strike, and it doesn't provoke an AoO. So if you are fighting something which is easy to hit, you can make an unarmed strike combined with LoH, and then cleave off of that with another strike. It doesn't let you use LoH...

taking 10 - exactly what skills and skill uses are covered?

Except that in D&D land, once you've failed a knowledge check, that's it; a failed check indicates not that you cannot come up with an answer on the spot, but that you can't come up with it period. You can't try again until you've gained a good enough chunk of XP. So in your example above...

What CAN a warblade use with a maneuver?

Just to note: the book does describe using Combat Expertise with a strike in the rules for one of the weapon enhancements. (The enhancement grants a bonus to your attack roll when using a strike, and the flavor text states that most martial adepts use it with power attack or combat expertise.)

Well, the sap becomes worse in comparison.

    Warblade maneuvers

AFAIK the saving throw counters don't let you know what you're saving against; unless you've put some ranks into spellcraft (which I assume is crossclass?) then the wizard can bait you with a quickened charm person spell before hitting you with dominate. (They could even use a quickened daze, I...

Does sniping while hidden deal sneak attack damage?

So the claim by some is this: a hiding rogue doesn't get sneak attack, while an invisible hiding rogue does. Note that the victim of the sneak attack can't actually tell the difference between these two cases. The RAW may support this claim, but this is just one of those cases to mock the RAW...

    Resist Energy, Mass

Just because it has the word mass in it? Or do you do the same with spells such as Magic Circle?

They do get pyrotechnics, which I've seen work pretty well for this purpose in the past. It's just a bit situational.

[Bo9S] Tell me of the bloodstorm blade

    1. Use falchions, not scimitars. 2. There's a stance that gives you a +1 to hit/damage for every critical hit you make. Combined with improved crit, this is pure win. :)

Swift actions and the staggered condition

Being staggered has the following effect: So, if a wizard is staggered, can he cast a spell and a swift spell in the same round? Or does the staggered condition prevent this?

    Is Power Attack balanced?

Power attacking is itself not always a prudent option. But taking the power attack feat is pretty much automatic for most fighters. This by itself indicates it's too powerful. I think the best houserule is to add a free -2 attack/+2 damage combat option, and break the two-hander functionality...
