I have to agree with much of what has already been mentioned in this thread. In my current campaign, the PHBII and the DMGII are both getting lots of use. The complete books are great for reference and customizing feats, but I think I as the DM am getting more use out of those than my players...

Did you look on the page where that DM Screen tool was listed? There appears to be a combat generater there for use. That might fit your needs. I haven't tried using any of the tools listed there (Your post provided my first exposure to their site) so I can't speak to whether it would fit...

Not only did they reprint the novel, but if the inside cover or front page (I forget which) is correct, they'll be reprinting other novels later this year. I recall seeing at least two others listed, but I didn't pay close attention since I wasn't entirely certain that the book was a reprint...

I'd really like to agree with this one as well, but that changed title makes it really sound like "Return to Witch Mountain." But the original box set still has some of my original players from all those years ago still afraid of kobolds in enclosed spaces.

Just received my copy today. I really enjoyed those Scout feats and plan to make use of some of them when the time comes to select new feats. Haven't quite gotten through the rest of the issue though.

OT: Player memory versus Character memory Note: I only chose this one as it was part of the OT thread that intrigues me. The problem I have with this is that I fully support the DM's ability to decide that if the players have forgetten, so have their characters. This is makes much more sense...

If playing a human (or going underground where low-light doesn't work) maybe a potion or two of darkvision could come in handy.

Speaking of statblocks, is there a statblock template out somewhere that can be used to just fill in data? I'd like to find something I can use when whipping up encounters before taking them into the game.

I've never been to GenCon. Had hoped to go this year, but circumstances being what they are changed my plans earlier this year. Maybe some day.

I guess most DMs (or at least those whose allowments I've seen) have been much more permissive than I. I've generally stuck to somewhere around 30-33% per item. I figure if they want to buy three (reltively) expensive items and walk around with nothing else, then that's their call. It...

That being the case, I may have to give the director's cut a chance then. I hope they do something similar with Elektra then as well.
