Shadowdark Arcane Library Western Reaches KS

Speaking of backing, the shipping costs to the EU are unfortunately still too high for me. But I'm contemplating getting the PDFs.

Shadowdark Arcane Library Western Reaches KS

Yeah, given how many people where watching the campaign page, this might make it across the million dollar threshold.

RPG Evolution: The Coming Social Collapse

I think they were for maybe a decade after Internet had become broadly available, but before Facebook really took off and smartphones became a general - so roughly late 90s/early 00s until early 10s. But if you weren't exposed to forums in that time span, it became increasingly unlikely that you...

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

I recently finished Space Marine 2 - reminded me a lot of Xbox 360 era titles (pretty linear, but well executed). It also captured the 40K atmosphere quite well IMO, though they could have done more with the doubt motive. Tying into the discussion about game length, I also appreciated that it...

Fantasy Art Commissions: Have You Ever Commissioned Some Artwork?

I commissioned a few pieces for personal use or as gift for other people. I don't have an exact count, but I it was certainly lower than what the professional creators here have mentioned (probably somewhere between 5 and 10) - it has always been more of a special occasion thing.

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

Not sure about that. The mail I got mentions nothing about Sigil still being in beta/early access.

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

Official. It's covered by their license with WotC (if you scroll down e.g. on the PHB page, there's an FAQ section where they confirm this).

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

Not the person you replied to, but I think all core 3 modules for D&D 2024 are out by now: Player's Handbook Dungeon Master's Guide Monster Manual Cannot say anything about their quality, though.

Invincible RPG Announced by Free League

I think this is one of the few examples where I will not jump on the Kickstarter despite the game coming from Free League. I'm curious, though, how they will handle super heroes and their powers - so far I associate Year Zero with a lower power level.

    General DCC RPG thread

If anyone's looking for a fair bit of DCC Lankhmar stuff (as far as I can tell, it's everything published so far) for a modest price, there's a bundle on a new site called fanatical: Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar RPG Collection.

RPG CROWDFUNDING NEWS – Gods of the Forbidden North, Lady Pirates, A Perfect Rock, and more

Not joining the Kickstarter right now, but I might buy GotFN 3 once it's out (conceptually, I find it interesting, but I have the first two volumes and have yet to fully read them).

Unable to delete my own posts

As I noticed again yesterday (where I posted an image to the D&D memes thread that turned out to be too blurry on desktop), it seems that I cannot delete my own posts. So I just wanted to confirm: is this an intentional configuration or an unintended side effect of some upgrade?

    How often do you play?

Roughly weekly. I'm in two groups that play bi-weekly (online, both on Monday evening). We usually take breaks in summer and over Christmas, and we sometimes cancel, but overall it's still closer to weekly than bi-weekly (and there's also the occasional adventure with different people).

    What's your VTT of choice?

I thought about mentioning VPNs for a second, but discarded it as too excessive 😁

    What's your VTT of choice?

I'd argue that as a rule of thumb, being on the latest version is a good thing, especially for software that is exposed to the Internet. Unfortunately, Foundry follows the practice of many web and mobile applications and does not have a maintenance branch. So in practice, upgrading only very...
