Anthony Valterra 11/14 clarification on last nights post

Sounds more like your issues are with Java itself and not PCGen. That's fair enough, a lot of people dislike Java, and it does have some issues. But, programming and programs are still in their 'infancy'... one day... And I've said it before, and I'll say it again now, PCGen and E-Tools...

    PCGen 4.1.5 available

Once you select what source materials you are loading and load them, the OGL and D20 screens should be popping up with that info... (which you can select to not display when they pop up or in the preferences setup) as for designating IP/PI stuff... that's italisized in the interface (the name...

Does Wizards of the Coast deserve our business?

Really? And where did you get these 'facts'? I'm more than a casual reader, here and over at wizards boards. And other than a rumor from an anonymous source that was posted here in the news section, I find _no_ mention that wizards has a patch, that there was any type of falling out at all...

Therigwin, Please contact me via email. mynex@wideopenwest.com Sorry for the OT post people but this was the only way I could find to track him/her down.

    A question for PCGen users

*sigh* You are Troller, but I'll bite just to shut you up. _IF_ Wizards says no, we'll not include what they've said no to. Simple eh? Oh, and it's the same thing we've been saying all along, you've just not bothered to listen. Regardless of your attempts to paint the picture otherwise...

PcGen Library updates for Scarred Lands

We pulled the files for 2 reasons; 1) they weren't up to snuff in our production release of 3.0.0 and haven't been updated since. 2) At one point, we did have contact with SSS, but now we can't find the person who did contact them, so we can't track down the permission email they sent that...

    A question for PCGen users

Right now it's difficult without a steep learning curve to enter your own list files yes, hoever, the 1st of the list editors is in place (the Deity Editor) and it's just the 1st step to having editors for all the types of list files. They're coming, they'll make life easier for all, and just...

    A question for PCGen users

fine and dandy You are all absolutely right, these are not the PCGen message boards, we can't (and don't) moderate here... But we can (and have) made our wishes known. If you can't respect those wishes, then you obviously can't respect those of us busting our humps for everything we have done...

    Pc-Gen...

    1) Sunday night. 2) Still in neogtiation. Hopefully we'll hear something in the next coupleof weeks or so (but that's just a hope, not a fact *sigh* WotC is a big company and as such, they're slow. :( )

    A standard RPG gaming API

XML standardization Guys, Overall, I like this concept, and it's actually something we've (the PCGen Core Team) has been aiming for and getting there slowly. Settling down PCGen, squishing bugs, making it faster, etc, have all taken top priority of late, but there is an additional PCGen...

[PC GEN] Is COC supported yet?

Quite right. We are still in negotiations, they are proceeding, no I can't say where we are in them, but they do go forward. As an opinion, I think they're going well. That's not based on anything concrete, just the gut feeling I have about it, and how well the folk at Wizards have been in...

Question for those who buy PDFs.

Both. One to print (Plain jane B&W nothing fancy) and a 'Pretty one' to display or if I feel like blowing the color ink cartridge out of my printer. :D

    DM Genie

Just to chime in here, you realize, what you described above, is exactly how PCGen operates now? All the information _is_ contained in the data files, the interface itself is completely dumb and will not do anything it is not told to specifically do by the data files with regards to character...

    PCGen - Print Preview problem

Dru, I.E. 6.0 has the correct (or should!) XSLT/XML/etc conversions in it, this problem has come up before, and because the way that the pdf output is made (XML), it requires a 'conversion process' to render it in I.E. Netscape to the best of my ability has this in the latest version as...

    [PCGen]

Ranger, Yes, you can still create your own list files without a problem. :) The deity editor in place is the 1st of the list creators, and looks like Skills and then spells is next. They're being created slowly, but they are being created, so no fear!

    PC Gen and OGL(?) Compliancy

To be D20 compliant that is true. If you are planning on just being OGL then you can include Die Rolling and whatnot. :) I think Chris or Dee from Twin Rose might be able to be more specific on that, since they are going OGL compliancy only, they can most definately tell you what is and isn't...

    Publishers in the Seattle area?

Wow! I didn't realize so many of you guys were out that way! Excellent! The reason I ask is simple, Bryan McRoberts (Merton Monk, creator of PCGen) and I will be out in Seattle on Sunday the 29th and Monday the 30th of this month, and we were wondering if any of the publishers out there would...

Here I am to savve the day!!!! Okay, bad Mighty Mouse sorry. :p Slander, Thanks for piping up, you're mostly right. :) Wizards did NOT lay the smack down, actually at GenCon we were looking for Each other (quite by accident we managed to get Anthony V on his lunch so the timimg on saturday...
