I don't see a problem with one 20th level character always being able to hit another 20th level character. Keep in mind that hitpoints do not always represent damage, especially at higher levels. At that skill level, it would be a test of the greater warrior and his endurance.

*wave* and for the record, Basilisk's definition of true neutral was right on. I have never subscribed to the idea that true neutrals try to balance good and evil. I have always seen the alignment as the best representation of pragmatism. 99% of people in any campaign world are true neutral.

I often find myself assigning alignments to movie characters as I watch them. When I realize I'm doing it, its already too late and I accept my geekiness and move on.

Yep... and as far as lore goes, they can easily be used as abstract levels of information a PC or NPC might have about the beasty. It does not require an associated mechanic.

Actually thats not entirely accurate. I buy a lot of books because they seem interesting enough that they might be a fun read, not necessarily because I need it. I probably actually use about a quarter of the books that I own. As soon as a book becomes prohibitively expensive, it drops right off...

12 characters of 20th level??? My god.. I can see each encounter taking several days, considering all the feats, spells, items, and options that will be available to so many high powered PCs. Doesn't seem doable unless you want to spend a year completing the module. :)

I'm hoping that having a non-trek standard director will make this a watchable movie. I have hated each and every TNG movie. They've been nothing more than really long episodes - and lame episodes at that. Bah.
