There is no difficulty, it is basically a monster for the same game.

I would say, if you like the MIdgard setting or KP adventures, ToV becomes a more attractive option, as supplements and stuff they're producing tie in pretty well with their minor ToV hacks. Midgard is a fantastic setting, IMO worthy of being a core D&D setting like Greyhawk and Faerun, so I do...

This might be the best looking monster manual ever made. I am thoroughly impressed with WotC's decision to go all in on the art here. Finally, this is a book I think will be worth every penny for the art alone.

Read it, tried it. Preferred 2024 to ToV; the class design was too similar to 2014 imo and I think 2014 classes were middling to ok, so ToV is the same. Only real difference is more feats. I Subclasses in particular feel anemic. Great monster book tho.

Looks good. I'll be honest, ever since seeing Dave's "Legendary Action Pool" for monsters, I've started converting all my epic encounters to that. But I do like the new WotC monsters they talk about; I think they are offering good plug-and-play pieces.

The idea is to cut down on corner cases with different WIzard features and subclass features etc etc. They were very paranoid of corner cases in design, which Mearls has talked about in multiple posts. IMO I suspect its a kind of trauma from the 3E days.

I prefer the new Backgrounds, but do lament the loss of Personality tables and a thematic feature.
