D&D 5E (2024) Scion of the Three Rogue was Way More Boring than I Expected.

Agreed on all this, further proving how bad the feature is.

D&D 5E (2024) Is anyone at WOTC paying attention to what they print any more?

Typos happen guys, even in billion dollar companies.

D&D 5E (2024) What is With Poison?, and Other PHB Conundrums.

So Rogue Assassins get prof in a Poisoner's Kit. By spending 50gp, you can make poison that sells for 100gp. Make two doses of poison with that 100 and now you got 200gp. Then you make four doses and get 400gp...you get the idea. So maybe the real reason for this is so the Rogue Assassin can...

D&D 5E (2024) What is With Poison?, and Other PHB Conundrums.

I suppose, but it doesn't really feel like it matters that much. It's ok if a magic missile doesn't one shot each kobold 100% of the time; however, most melee attacks with a d6 weapon and a +1 modifier are going to clear this relatively easy. I get that statistically it's significant but that...

D&D 5E (2024) Scion of the Three Rogue was Way More Boring than I Expected.

Did you post this to Reddit too? I concur with your analysis here. There has been a consistent but strange trend in 5E's history to give the most absolutely worthless passive damage amounts to players. Just because it's passive doesn't mean it should be rendered down to useless book keeping...

Wizards of the Coast Releases Day 1 Errata for Monster Manual

Carrion crawler venom in dmg is a con save, so its a likely errata to come.

D&D 5E (2024) What is With Poison?, and Other PHB Conundrums.

Sometimes it feels like any obstacle, set back, or loss is perceived as a great injustice against players. Why is it so bad that players might waste a spell slot once with hold or charm person? Its a learning lesson and heightens tension. Why do people focus so much on this small """feels bad"""...

Is comparing 5hp vs 4hp worth doing?

    D&D 5E (2024) Monster Manual 2025 Elementals

Seems about 25 less then other creatures its level. Maybe the siege monster trait is mathematically significant to WotC after all.

    D&D 5E (2024) Monster Manual 2025 Elementals

Elemental Cataclysm damage is weirdly low compared to other high cr creatures in the book. Any ideas why?

D&D 5E (2024) How do you grade Scion of the Dead Three? Green, Yellow, Red?

Red. Great idea with absolutely terrible mechanics.

D&D 5E (2014) So 5E is the Successor to AD&D 2nd Edition? How and How Not?

Way of doing things from the dm side, as in, exploration mechanics, big battles, movs and raids, etc. Subclasses don't impact that at all IME. I love optional systems, but imo they close off rulings over rules, not enable it. If you are a more experimental DM it doesn't matter, but if you play...

D&D 5E (2014) So 5E is the Successor to AD&D 2nd Edition? How and How Not?

I have a question: doesn't creating more varient and optional rules eliminate rulings over rules? I feel subclasses actually allows me more dm fiat, as I can make my own way of doing things vs having to use structures provided by the game.

Have you read the new Mm? Monster damage is a lot higher now.

    D&D 5E (2024) Githzerai Psion? Thri-kreen Psion? Where's My Psion?

This is my stance. Any class will have people with multiple views on it as well as ways to achieve the fantasy with other options. It seems silly this means we cant have the psion, but we can the ranger and artificer.

D&D Adds Two New Books to 2025 Slate, Including New Eberron Book

I'm kind of sick of you accusing me of purposefully misrepresenting points and attacking you. D&D Adds Two New Books to 2025 Slate, Including New Eberron Book

That is not misrepresenting, that is proving my point that Baker will gladly bend his world to accomdare new ideas. Dude, you are acting off right now. You are clearly letting your bias bend the conversation.
