    Gygax's views on OGL

Heh, I couldn't aggree more. Gary didn't do a good job with the brand the first 2 times he had it, I doubt third times a charm.

    Clerics and their Holy Symbols

No where in the PHB does it describe a holy symbols special properties, other than "It channels positive energy". That in no way suggests it is blessed or otherwise special. If it WAS blessed like holy water, all symbols would cost 25 gold more, like holy water.

    Gygax's views on OGL

We have one friend, Arneson and his Blackmoor game, to thank for the original concept of fantasy role playing though.

    Gygax's views on OGL

One of the reasons for the OGL, Wizards once said, was so that they DIDN'T have to do modules, since other companies can devote the time, resources, editors, and playtesters to them since they tend to focus on only a couple of things at a time.

    Gygax's views on OGL

I would hardly say someone disaggreeing with his oppinion is "going out of their way to defame the man". Whatever he may have done in the past doesn't make him right in the present.

    Gygax's views on OGL

The OGL is like any free market in real life, a slew of junk and crap hits the streets, and those companies are weeded out while the good ones remain. I don't care if there are a million bad books out there for d20.. I am perfectly capable of reading reviews and examing books first to only buy...

    Gygax's views on OGL

When 3rd edition was released, tons of PHBs were sold. Now, those books had to go somewhere, and returning vets couldn't account for the whole number. People were buying books to give as gifts to non-gaming friends, and brought them into the fold. OGL has at least done something to keep those...

    Gygax's views on OGL

The weird thing is that the original name, Dangerous Dimensions, was the one TSR had a problem with. TSR dropped the suit when they changed the name to Dangerous Journies, but GDW still canned it.

    Gygax's views on OGL

I've never really liked Gary's oppinions much, he's always stuck me as a raving egotist and very old fashioned. For one thing, the TSR brand, even when Gygax controlled it, was never a seal of quality, and TSR released more than its fair share of stinkers, including stuff he wrote himself...

Will you be purchasing PDFs from DriveThruRPG?

Nope. While I have no problem buying PDFs, the rediculous prices and untrustworthy copy protection they use would pretty much guarantee I would never, ever shop there. I buy all my books in print, then I snag a digital copy from a p2p client. That gives me at least some insurance that I will...

    Intimidate with STR

Itimidation isn't being a big strong brute to break peoples arms and legs to get what you want, that's tortue. Intimidation is the -threat- of harm. You can pound your chest and scream and rage all you want, that's not going to scare someone like a person who knows the right words to chill a man.

    Second guess my paladin.

Breaking a truce to kill orcs who helped you is a choatic act. You did the lawful thing in the end.

But you are ok with an item that magically makes you stronger? Oh wait, it's magic.

Since the Complete Warrior book is not open gaming content (least I think not) we cannot post the descriptions of the items in it.

    Is D&D too complicated?

I feel that while there is more prep time involved with 3.x, the game runs smoother and faster than in 1e/2e. And I find character generation a breeze if I know what basic type of character I wanna play. I could roll up a level 20 cleric or wizard with feats and spells and magic items accross...

    Most Unbalanced Prestige Classes?

13d6 damage, and you get to attack once per round with it. An archer can do more damage than this with magic arrows at this level.
