    What's a McGuffin?

Ah, odd, I always thought that McGuffin was another term for red herring. You learn something new every day I suppose.

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

It's a bestsellers list, which would be a weekly thing. ROE and LOM sold more copies in that one week then there were copies of the core books sold in that same week. Weekly lists are useless though to try to get an idea of how many people actually have or use it. 90% of all books are sold...

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

Sorry, but I thought this was a very valid question to ask.

    MMORPGs death of RPG

Pft, that's nothing. I had a teacher in college who had 6 computers, and 6 active accounts. And he wanted to buy MY account when he found out I no longer played! o.o

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

Nah, this was an online game. We couldn't have had that same silly level of sex in a person to person game.

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

Depends, there is a difference to me. It was also something of a guys night out for us, too.

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

The problem is that it would have made things uncomfortable, and would have utterly changed the feel of the game. Something we didn't want. And we all felt the same way, we would not have allowed a girl to play in that game, period.

What RPGs do you own but haven't played?

Furry Pirates, seen a couple of other people on this list who have that but never played. Maybe we all need to get a group together online? :)

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

This is Ironclaw, a furry RPG. There was my ferret, a rat sneak, a rabbit... torch holder, an otter with a big axe, and the DM had a DMPC that was a wolf mage. We also had a raccoon dragoon tagalong, also run by the DM.

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

I'd be annoyed, but since each group has to make the decision on what they want and what they are comfortable with, it would be awful greedy of me to try to push my way into a group uninvited. If a group didn't want me to play because I was gay, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I wouldn't...

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

Meh, despite what people might think, gay men and women are very different. Specially the 5 of us. :P And we don't have an eye out for your bad taste in fashion, either!

Would your group stop a woman from joining?

I've seen quite a large number of "girl gamer" posts (I guess this is the new fad, not my previous idea of "poorly translated foreign games" after all, darn), and that got me to wondering. My Ironclaw group would refuse to let a woman join our group, and I aggree with it for a very good reason...

Do your Front line characters refuse Enlarge Person?

You exachage a -2 to AC for a net 0 to hit, and a +1 to damage, and a size increase. While getting the free AoO on anything smaller then you coming into melee range is nice, it's a dubious bonus. Against anythng with magic or range, it's more harm then good.

    The death of pbems...

I dunno, I'm just one of those people who cannot see how this type of game playing could be any fun at all, PBP or PBEM. I have a hard enough time enjoying chat based role playing, and that flows and moves so much better.

Okay so you hate Dragonlance, how can the current designers improve it?

I dunno, that's almost like saying "We found this paradise in South America, where's there's no crime, no pollution, and everyone gets along", and the first thing that comes out of the person in charges mouth is "Lets drill it for oil!" I think pretty much everyone has a problem with DL feels...

Okay so you hate Dragonlance, how can the current designers improve it?

Despite whatever happens, Dragonlance will ALWAYS be about the Heroes of the Lance. Someone's game might be 1000 years before the original module, 1000 years after, the world can be remade dozens of times over, and it will ALWAYS be about the Heroes in most people's eyes. Middle Earth games...

Okay so you hate Dragonlance, how can the current designers improve it?

I think that's the problem, same with kender. You have a serious and dreadful world, and these two races are crammed up it's ass to provide comic relief. They are the square peg hammered into the round hole of Dragonlance. Oh, and I did not like the Chronicals books, they read like a "paint...

    D&D 4E OT: Shadowrun 4E announced

    1st came out in 1989, 2ed in 1992, 3rd in 1998, and now 4th in 2005. 6 and 7 year gaps aren't bad. If WOTC makes 4th edition D&D in 2010, that's a 7 year gap.

I was wondering that too, he's said that a bunch but hasn't explained. Shadowrun and D&D are about as dissimiliar as possible, while still having fantasy races and magic.

    D&D 4E OT: Shadowrun 4E announced

I aggree. Besides, there's nothing in the real world that makes people drop established names for things, in spite of them not longer accurate. There's 15 years of established story calling them deckers, and I perfer it over the generic hacker label. Hacking itself has changed a lot in 20...
