Things I miss from 2nd edition

I miss the old saving throws and THACO. Granted, I know they weren't the easiest to pick up, but it was what I was raised on. I miss having a multitude of campaign worlds. While I miss Dragonlance and Ravenloft. I believe I miss Birthright most of all. However, I enjoy 3rd edition very...

    Recipe for a superhero D20

I saw Monte Cooke's interview on www.d20reviews.com, and it got me thinking about a superhero d20. I've only played the percenile based Marvel Super Heroes game as far as super Hero RPG's go, so it will serve as my basis for a superheo d20. In order to make a Superhero D20, I think you need to...

    Ranger: What needs fixing?

I see no reason why the ranger should get 2-weapon fighting and ambidexterity just by virtue of being ranger. Any feat bonuses, should be more along the line of track if anything. I think Birthright lends itself very well to 3rd edition. It's worth investigating. -Jamie

[OT] Any opinions Terry Goodkind's SWORD of TRUTH series??

I tried out Goodkind. I really liked the first book, but the second one turned me off. I also think that things were figured out way too quickly in the second one. I remember an instance where the woman changed her mind about the 'test of pain' quickly and on the basis of a brief speech...

[OT] Indiana Jones IV to be Steven Spielberg's next priority

I'm glad to hear about the movie, but I thought Ford was very odd during his speech. His arms were shaking behind his back, and he sounded strange. It made me wonder if he had Parkinsons. I'm not saying he does, but something wasn't right. -Jamie
