NO..NO..NO...the dragon would smoke them. SOmething else, why not alot of things that have been attacking a town, like a hivemind crature..or a nest of w/e in the mountains. I know alot of DM's want to use Dragons, but you got to know that dragons are some of the roughest creatures out there, so...

%$#^& happens....roll with it. And, the DM shouldn't have broken the guys sword or w/e unless he knew he could handle it. IF you've got a player that really really really gets into his character, why would you break the one thing that would make him want to quit? There are alot of other things...

I see your point. They are the same. However, I think stacking items gets a bit old. Also, what happens to that player when he cant use them, or they get broken. I'll tell you, an angry player who feels that the Dm is out to get him. But, if one or two stats are above the norm...that's fine, but...

That's my point, and thank you for those who have said it. The class needs to be redone, and general cultural aspects need to be added into it to make it something else than the "hulk smash class" which it is mostly played for.

I say yes. Barbarians and Rangers are the same in my opinion, two sides of the same coin. These two classes represent what would be the warrior, or adventure type of a specific culture, those, like in a city or village, would defend the area, or go beyond it for trade or battle: culture...

All evles arn't the same, and even with the classes they stay in, they still arn't the same. Its not their class, is their concept that makes them differnt, how their played, and the roles and goals they want to achieve. You could make every elf an archer, or a wizard, and they'd be differnt...
