Yes, but most companies build firmware updatable products that can adjust to this, as long as it's not a huge hardware change. If it's GBA comatable, you're probably safe enough. I wouldn't pay much extra for it though.

Ditto. Plus, you can get the GBA adapter for it and play GBA and GB games on it too. The Wii is your best bet as far as selection of games, and hardware reliability, but a Game Cube you can't go wrong with.

OOC: as was mentioned earlier. Just because you're late to the thread doesn't mean you character was late to the meeting. You're in. I think you need to be in to be included in the adventure. Don't worry about the continuity of it. For something this large, some handwaving has to happen.
