    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Phew, it took about an hour but the appendices are back up to date again. It had been 10 pages since they were last updated! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RSDxh6tf8NPIVKxggHx0jYgHLJsV94sECIhs76R1Ovg/edit

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

I'd like to draw on Zak S' 'This is what halfling cities are like' (http://dndwithpornstars.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/this-is-what-halfling-cities-are-like.html) but I haven't figured out quite what yet.

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Good stuff. I drew on Boatmurdered's elephants for one of my hexes.

Hmm, oh well I'll defer to your expertise here in deciding which course to pursue.

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Hi Daztur, I think the wiki's a great idea, although I'd also like the functionality of a hardcopy ... is there a way to export the wiki entries into a DOC or PDF? Have you changed the CC licence since you posted this? It's CC BY-SA, just like what we're using! Also, we might be able to help...

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

(Inspired by the Peel St Caves on BLDG Blog) and Real Dungeon Hazards: Snotties and Slime. The Sandmines Neath Jahur As houses and temples crumbled in Jahur, they were built on top of, slowly compressing the sand, brick and stone together into what masons call ‘city brick’. It carries some...

D&D 5E (2014) New Death and Dying Rules

I love the way Dungeon World handles it. You take your last breath when you're reduced to 0 or below: When you’re dying you catch a glimpse of what lies beyond the Black Gates of Death’s Kingdom (the GM will describe it). Then roll (just roll, [2d6] +nothing—yeah, Death doesn’t care how tough...

Dungeon World Thread? Dungeon World Thread.

I wonder if part of my trouble is that the two games I've run were first sessions, where the GM is expressly advised not to use fronts. Maybe my problems are largely with building the initial situation, and if I got on to fronts I'd have more success.

Dungeon World Thread? Dungeon World Thread.

I never ran it in the Shrouded Lands, but I've run a couple of games and played in several more. I found it a great help to use Jason Morningstar's The Slave-Pit of Drazhu (http://www.dungeon-world.com/pit-of-drazhu/), from which I transitioned to a couple of Marshall Miller's Dungeon Starters...

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Hey folks, I polished up the Random Witch Clan Table a little and have attached it. Daztur, what was your plan with incorporating the restructured regions into the main hex document? I was thinking of an incremental approach, replacing one region at a time, but it looks like you're holding off...

Question regarding the 7-Day RPG Contest

Questions about competition moved from thread You mention the OGL and the GSL. What about other public copyright licences like the Creative Commons licences? Is it okay to submit a game under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike?

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

I'm a big fan of the 4E alignment system, and actually have half a hex entry about a philosopher who describes the cosmos in those terms. Tiamat is a force of entropy (Chaotic Evil) whereas Chimalia is a creative force (Evil). Alberon is invested in Creation (Lawful Good), while I'm not sure...

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Prow’s Beach (00.03) No one can remember a time when the Imperium Undying still sailed to the Shrouded Lands, but on Prow’s Beach the bleached skeletons of their ships can still be seen. These ships had figureheads carved of sapient pearwood, a tree with self-awareness and an abiding love of...

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Hey folks, Here's my shot at cleaning up the Duchy of Thring: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bz6z8RHKD0ZGS3R6bVNtOUQtR00/edit?usp=sharing

    Let’s Make a Hexcrawl Setting

Sounds solid. I'll clean up the Duchy of Thring, and then we can decide which chunks of that to put with the Barrier Range when we make the gazetteer.
