    Cheap fantasy minis!

New photos added to the OP. Turns out my wife's camera was simply better at snapping miniatures. Orcs and goblins coming in just a nonce!

    Alternate Accuracy Mechanics

Then you don't want a relative scale, which changes depending on what die you roll. Assume that d6 is the smallest die. Instead of "max damage" or "minimum damage", just say that, for example, a miss occurs on a 1-3, a hit on a 4-9, a critical on a 10-12. Allow circumstantial or power-based...

Warrior vs. Wizard - Reality vs. the Hacker

These all sound neat, but I'm wary about the possible execution. You don't want the fighter's powers to simply be the rock to the wizard's magical scissors. That's no more fun than irresistible magic. So I would make sure that all the cool stuff you mention requires some sort of check first...

Hand of Evil, that's a good one! Dannyalcatraz, would you care to share something interesting and esoteric about shell-collecting, or one of the other hobbies you mentioned?

Pathfinder 1E Would you allow a plant in a pot to be used for Entangle?

Munchkin-y means that the rules don't technically forbid it, but any self-confident GM would ban or limit it for being too silly or against the spirit of the rules as written. That's exactly what most people in this thread are saying they would do. You asked for opinions, and these are the...

Pathfinder 1E Would you allow a plant in a pot to be used for Entangle?

Then why bother with the plant at all? You could just activate the invisible bits of pollen and the like in the air or on your enemies' clothes. My instinct in my ruling is to reward creativity while not encouraging munchkin-ism. Your stated stance, that a potted daisy has the same entangling...

    Geeky hobbies outside the geek-sphere

What can you tell us about geeky hobbies that are outside what is commonly considered "geek culture?" By "geek culture", I mean the nexus between hobby gaming and genre fandom, with some overlapping interest in science and technology. By a geeky hobby, I mean a hobby that may seem strange to...

D&D 3.x Building an archer, Pathfinder/3.5 home game

No one's mentioned the archer archetype for the fighter. Kobold Quarterly published an Elven Archer base class. I see no reason not to make it a generic magic archer class with no racial requirements, if you're into that.
