Thinking about this a little more, the layout of Exalted makes it completely unintelligible to me. How the different levels of headings and sub-headings are formatted is totally illogical in my mind. Which is a shame, as it’s a game I would really like to try.

To the OP- there are definitely games where this is the case for me and my group. I am a fan of JRPGs personally, but most of my group are not. There are some cool, JRPG inspired games with great mechanics but people bounce of the presentation when they try to read them.

Any initial view on what the impact of this will be, @Morrus? Do they distribute RPGs for many publishers? Do they tend to be the primary distribution channel in certain sectors? You are much more informed on this sort of thing than us consumers.

I run most all of my sessions from an iPad so PDF is my preference. But having the books to pass around at the table is great, and given that I am always hoping the other GMs in our group will like a system enough to run it and I can play, having physical books makes lending possible.
