The wound system is in Invisible Sun. Assuming it works the same, you track damage (injuries) and three points of damage convert into a wound level, you can take three wounds before you are taken out. There is more to it than that, of course.

I recently picked up Moonring which is a retro game, inspired by Ultima (4, I think) and developed by one of the original developers of Fable. It’s free for the full game, so what’s not to like? There is a paid-for add-on if you like it and want to support the developer.

IIRC Dr Kromm (GURPS line editor) is currently working on a supplement with guidance on how to re-jink the GURPS skills system so there are a smaller number in use. There is a whole series of supplements (Power Ups series) on making more or less extensive changes to the system.

This has been in development for a couple of years, and Douglas makes good stuff. So I will be checking this out.
