Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Yeah, I tried to explain why the costs are so low on those, but it's hard to argue with the low prices. I haven't looked for a dumb TV recently, but I get the impression they're mostly extinct now, anyway.

There's one I keep reading as "My Sausage Experience".

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Based on a little unverified googling, it's a 45" screen (rear projection, apparently) weighing 359 lbs. It cost $2800 in 1978 (without vcr, if i understand correctly), or nearly $13,000 in 2022 dollars. 🤯 .msust bought a 50" smart tv for under $300 last weekend.

    D&D 5E (2014) The "General Nature" of a Trap

Anyway, since the question is about a trap's general nature, maybe just invent an explicit definition for "general nature". It might encompass things like: - whether the trap's trigger/s is/are mechanical, magical, or hybrid; and - whether the trap is designed to cause damage, and --- (maybe)...

    D&D 5E (2014) The "General Nature" of a Trap

If i understand correctly, el-remmen (OP) is looking at modifying this spell for his houserules, and is looking for suggestions. Adherence to RAW isn't an overarching concern, I don't think.

What fantasy creatures migrate with the seasons?

Someone in another thread posted a pic of the rust monsters in the D&D movie. They were depicted as rat-sized critters up in the rafters eating a lock or something. A neat take on the rust monster, imo. What if such little rust monsters have a complex life-cycle? In "good" times, they're mostly...

D&D General Recommend me a somewhat contained setting

Yeah, i was going to suggesta domain of dread, too. They're nice and self-contained and have an obvious bad guy. Van Richten's presents a fairly strightforward rubrik to build on out yourself, too, if that's an option. A more off-kilter suggestion might be Neverland. It's an island sandbox...

D&D General Poll: Did you watch the D&D cartoon when it was new?

Of course I watched it; I was 10. It wasn't a choice. It was a duty, in service to the gods of Saturday morning cartoons.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Maybe it's one of those clever nested acronyms* where "mac" is short for "mac and cheese". * Interestingly, the word for a nested acronym is "macronym", but how that relates to macaroni and cheese is still undetermined.

D&D General Players: Do You Care From Whence Your DM Gets His Monsters/Challenges?

No, I don't care at all where a DM sources their monsters. Brand new, surprising monsters are great; as are completely reskinned MM monsters. The one caveat, imo, is just be consistent within the campaign.

The 2e Monstrous Manual depiction of the invisible stalker is especially memorable, and seems pretty accurate:

Don't pay the party in gold [article link]

Mayor: "We are eternally grateful to you for eliminating our giant cellar rats! As reward, please accept all we can offer: the finest pig in the village!" Party: " . . . " Bard: "I seduce th--" Party: "Shut up, bard!"

    “Monstrous” NPCs

That's a really strange thing to see at a D&D table. Personally, I'd feel criminally remiss as GM (or player) if I wasn't speaking as (or listening to) all the weird non-humanoid things that could possibly hand out rumors, dreams, hints, puzzles, orders, deals, and so forth. "If it's got lips...

When to set a "historical" supers game? (read OP before answering poll)

Obviously, But I voted mythic and classical, since regular people cavorting with gods and all that seems a good time for true superheroes to emerge, and to do so in spectacularly weird ways.

D&D 5E (2014) What 5E Product Are You Most Looking Forward To in 2025?

Isn't Goodman Games' OAR#9 Caverns of Thracia still slated for release in 2025? If so, the 5e version of that is probably the 5e thing I'm most looking forward to this year.
