Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Too often and too late, as I click a thing, i think, "Why am I clicking that thing?"

D&D General Elon Musk Wants To Know 'How Much Is Hasbro?'

What he was or was not 5 to 8 years ago is irrelevant to what he very clearly is today. People change, and opinions of people change; there's nothing weird or mysterious about that.

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Yeah, that's kinda why I'm also wondering about Hostile. Since it's based on Cepheus, I think it'll be close enough to Traveller to be pretty familiar, while I think also including some sort of panic mechanic. But I'll find out soon enough: I went ahead and ordered a copy of Hostile Solo for a...

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Oh yeah, another good call. Somehow I never played more than a few sessions of Traveller in all these years, and only just picked up (finally!) a facsimile version of THe Traveller Book this past summer. It's been great fun to experience an actual old game "for the first time" again.

The older i get the less I need.

My excuse for keeping so many books is that they'll make a fine funeral pyre.

D&D General Elon Musk Wants To Know 'How Much Is Hasbro?'

This raises a question: How Musk is too Musk?

Good call, I'd forgotten about Blade Runner. Definitely another one to consider.

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Thanks for the input. Do you recall if the game is strongly tied to a particular setting, or is it pretty neutral in that respect?

Got it, thanks for the info.

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Oh! I didn't realize Mothership was pwyw, thanks for the heads up. Do you know which books comprise the core rules? Is the game playable with just the players guide, or is the warden's ops manual also a core book? I admit I'm a little confused about just how the whole MOthership game is put...

TO be sure, "not good" doesn't have to relate to making money. It could relate to employee safety and treatment, customer service, environmental or community responsibility, investor accountability, and so forth. All those things can be "not good" and still result in tons of money being made...

Hasbro Stock Price Surges After Elon Musk Makes Comments About Purchasing Company

Aaand now D&D is getting sucked into the nonsensical vortex of money-bro meme stonks. Just great.

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

It's a RPG genre I'm not too familiar with, but I'm interested in picking up a game to learn. I kind of prefer lighter weight games, but strong genre mechanics are also important, imo, for such worlds with such atmospheric settings. In poking around, I've seen a quite a lot about Alien and...

The older i get the less I need.

I can sympathize. I've always been a minimalist, and gone through a couple major purges. For the most part, i don't really regret anything I've gotten rid of, though I have reacquired a handful of things here and there. However, what I've found in the last ten years or so, as I've played so...

D&D General Elon Musk Wants To Know 'How Much Is Hasbro?'

Presumably he'll insist on reintroducing an even edgier, modernized Harlot Table in this brave new edition of Doges & Dragons.

D&D General What creature did you introduce against type that turned out great?

I used an otyugh as a local crime boss named Glarbage Gligh, aka "Mister G". His organization was mostly a smuggling ring, though he could make pretty much anything or anyone disappear for a price. Payment for his services generally involved some combo of gold (for his henchmen) and a big bag of...
