Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Path: How Successful?

While I'm not technically a "subscriber", I voted as such since I buy each book in each AP (from Amazon.ca) on a monthly basis. I've been a very long-time subscriber of Dungeon (by far my favorite D&D product ever), and a semi-long subscriber of Dragon (leaving only for a year or so during 3e...

    June Blockbusters

Hopefully the studios will be less enamored with Will Farrell. (Yeah yeah, I know...)

    June Blockbusters

Yeah, I already groaned about it in the July thread. :D It would have been a "big none" too if my wife wasn't taking me to Harry Potter (of which I'm not a big fan).

    Wahoo vs. Traditional

Our group is a little bit more on the traditional/tolkeinish side of the spectrum than the wahoo side.

    Games you won't play

Oh heavens - tons and tons and tons. I'd say 90%+ of what's out there I couldn't be bothered playing. If it's not 3.x, it's already on shaky ground. I'd certainly never play 4e again, and probably not 2e or earlier, either. L5R, GURPS, anything Palladium, anything diceless, etc etc. And LARPing...

    Bonding between DM and Player

Sure... but then, I can't imagine a friend would "hand in a character sheet after a campaign twist", either. Just as you couldn't imagine a DM who was so socially disconnected from his fellow players that he would/could casually "show them the door" and bring in someone else that easily, I can't...

This Weekend @ The BoxOffice: 2009.May.25

Well, that is how the whole movie thing kind of goes, now doesn't it?

That's too bad, because the movie sure wasn't.

    Rate Terminator Salvation

3 stars. A pretty decent movie, and considerably better than I thought it would be. I'd say it's a million times better than T3, but we all know there's no such movie. Since one cannot rate what one hasn't seen, I'm not going to hide spoilers here. Pretty much every criticism you've read...

How much controll do you give your players?

When you run your games in any edition of D&D how much controll of the game do you allow your players to have? Do they have free reign on any supplement they wish or do you restrict them? I'm somewhat restrictive here. I only allow books in that I own. Even then, not everything from said books...

    Let's read the entire run

Skip didn't really answer the question like that, did he? :D All those Immortal-related questions (and answers) really made me go cross-eyed.

    V: The remake

I have the original on DVD, and the original mini-series still holds up today, AFAIC. I'm very interested in seeing what they do with a new version of V, so color me "cautiously excited".

Rate the new Star Trek Film

Suck is still suck. Time travel sucks no matter how you do it. Slingshot-around-the-sun is just as fine as anything else... it's time travel - you're doomed to suckiness from the start.

    Why no adventure paths?

Ah. I was just answering the question in the context of the OP: I didn't realize there was additional criteria.

D&D 4E 4e vs. Paizo: Mommy, Daddy, please stop fighting!

What a hilariously ridiculous assertion. Paizo has long made clear why they won't/can't, if anyone bothers to pay attention.

    Why no adventure paths?

I agree with Zaukrie. With a non-starter of a GSL (regardless of a "revised" GSL) combined with the amount of work involved and the risk, I don't think we'll be seeing a 4e adventure path in the foreseeable future. Oh. Well then, there are a bunch of 4e adventure paths. There's WotC's Scales...

Fringe #20:There's More Than One of Everything/S1/2009

Really good. I'm looking forward to the pieces being put all together. My wife's theory is still holding - she always suspected something was 'different' about Peter. And she noted that she believes it was William Bell who did the inter-dimensional traveling. She still thinks it was Bell who...

Agree with the above posts. Kill it after a rip-roaring Season 5.

    July Blockbusters

Harry Potter, but only because my wife is taking me. As noted by others, Terminator is this week (and likely one of the only 3 movies I'm bothering to see this summer, since I've been dumping others left and right after word of mouth and further previews/details).
