Yeah, I already groaned about it in the July thread. :D It would have been a "big none" too if my wife wasn't taking me to Harry Potter (of which I'm not a big fan).

Our group is a little bit more on the traditional/tolkeinish side of the spectrum than the wahoo side.

Oh heavens - tons and tons and tons. I'd say 90%+ of what's out there I couldn't be bothered playing. If it's not 3.x, it's already on shaky ground. I'd certainly never play 4e again, and probably not 2e or earlier, either. L5R, GURPS, anything Palladium, anything diceless, etc etc. And LARPing...

Sure... but then, I can't imagine a friend would "hand in a character sheet after a campaign twist", either. Just as you couldn't imagine a DM who was so socially disconnected from his fellow players that he would/could casually "show them the door" and bring in someone else that easily, I can't...

3 stars. A pretty decent movie, and considerably better than I thought it would be. I'd say it's a million times better than T3, but we all know there's no such movie. Since one cannot rate what one hasn't seen, I'm not going to hide spoilers here. Pretty much every criticism you've read...

When you run your games in any edition of D&D how much controll of the game do you allow your players to have? Do they have free reign on any supplement they wish or do you restrict them? I'm somewhat restrictive here. I only allow books in that I own. Even then, not everything from said books...

I have the original on DVD, and the original mini-series still holds up today, AFAIC. I'm very interested in seeing what they do with a new version of V, so color me "cautiously excited".

Suck is still suck. Time travel sucks no matter how you do it. Slingshot-around-the-sun is just as fine as anything else... it's time travel - you're doomed to suckiness from the start.

I agree with Zaukrie. With a non-starter of a GSL (regardless of a "revised" GSL) combined with the amount of work involved and the risk, I don't think we'll be seeing a 4e adventure path in the foreseeable future. Oh. Well then, there are a bunch of 4e adventure paths. There's WotC's Scales...

Harry Potter, but only because my wife is taking me. As noted by others, Terminator is this week (and likely one of the only 3 movies I'm bothering to see this summer, since I've been dumping others left and right after word of mouth and further previews/details).
