    Obi-Wan Kenobi (spoilers)

Move Object on a (Colossal) Space Transport is possible, but if it's moving you have to overcome its Grapple bonus (+40 or so and up to +50 for some of the bigger ones). A tall order for an 18th level Vader with +17 to UtF. He'd need to blow a Force Point, likely also a Destiny point (and you...

    D&D 5E (2014) Vs Vecna battle simulations.

No they couldnt, unless the character was somehow able to know a spell was being cast. The character doesnt know a spell is being cast, when it is being cast without components. There is no trigger for that characters reaction. It's no different from a trigger of 'when I see an enemy, thinking...

    D&D 5E (2014) Vs Vecna battle simulations.

Vevna can teleport as a reaction to being hit. Behind full cover. So Fighter 1 has his turn, and Vecna teleports after getting hit with arrow 1. The rest miss (they didnt take seeking arrow). Rinse and repeat for Fighter 2. His DPR calculations had him using lucky to grant 3 extra hits, and he...

No, Vecna has to KNOW they're casting a spell. Would you allow a readied action with the trigger of 'When a creature I can see is casting a spell, my attack happens' to go off with a Stilled spell? If so, how does the creature know the trigger has just occurred?

    Obi-Wan Kenobi (spoilers)

If you want to enter Hyperspace, those fighters first need to land on your Star Destroyer. Or you're leaving them behind, with no Hyperdrives.

But Vecna doesn't know the spell is being cast. It has no components. There is no perceivable trigger for him to react to. If he doesnt know you've casting a spell (and he doesnt) then he cant take the reaction. The same logic applies (and the same logic for every reaction, in that the trigger...

    D&D 5E (2014) Vs Vecna battle simulations.

His maths is off, and he white rooms it (Vecna could teleport behind full cover after the first bit), and he ignores Vecnas Int of 24 and Scrying abilities.

If Vecna can't see a creature casting a spell (because it's being cast with subtle Metamagic and lacks M components) he can't use his reaction because he didn't perceive its trigger.

Im not making it up. Crawford himself has stated that you can't react to something you don't know is happening, specifically in traction to a spell lacking any S M or M components

The trigger for Vecnas counter is that Vacna needs to be able to see a target that is casting a spell. Vecna doesn't know his target is casting a (subtle) spell though. Without that knowledge, there is no trigger for that reaction. You can't react to something you're not aware is happening!

No he doesnt instantly know you're casting a spell. He can just identify a spell as it's being cast without needing to make an ability check, presuming he knows a spell is being cast. And as your (M component lacking) spell is being cast Subtly (with no V or S components), he doesn't see you...

4 x 17th level PCs is where it turns in the Players favor for mine. Could go pear shaped for them though. But it is a deadly fight. You could pull it off at lower levels, but it's definately in Vecnas favor. His main weakness is his absurdly low HP. If he lost initiative to all 4 PCs, then...

Hahaha. Bit cheesy, but RAW works. No he cant. He can only target 'a creature he can see that is casting a spell'. If he doesn't know you're casting a spell (subtle spell) he cant counter it, even if he can see you.

A 20th level party would wipe the floor with him. Heck, a single 20th level Devotion Paladin or Aberrant Mind Sorcerer would kill him, as would a BM sharpshooter Fighter of 20th (the Fighters only problem being the Dominate person save). Of course a 20th level Party should wipe the floor with...

    D&D 5E (2014) Vs Vecna battle simulations.

Just off the top of my head, wouldnt a 20th level Aberrant Mind Sorcerer wipe the floor with Vecna? Presuming Mind Blank is active (and why wouldn't it be) he's immune to Dominate person, and Psychic damage, rendering him immune to Vecna's core teleport+damage+heal ability (so no healing for...

Hang on, it looks like the parapet still blocks LOS in the the Ethereal as well. You can move through (non living) matter on that plane, but you cant see through it.

How? Vecna can see into the Ethereal and Prime material planes simultaneously cant he?

It's irrelevant anyway. Vecna has Truesight to 120'. Accordingly he can simultaneously see into the Ethereal plane, so he can see straight through the pillar (in addition to ignoring illusions, darkness and invisibility). It's actually largely impossible to Hide from him at all within 120' of him.
