Re fiduciary duties: Fiduciary - Wikipedia A director of a company is in the position of a fiduciary with respect to the Shareholders. They must at all times act in the best financial interests of those shareholders, and the duty is strictly enforced by the Courts. Those duties do (to some...

The Director of the company has fiduciary obligations to the shareholders. He cant take any course of action that breaches that obligation. That director needs to cover his or her own backside (plus act in the best interests of the shareholders and the company). That's what he or she gets paid...

Hang on. Riddle me this. Assume for a second, you're a director at Hasbro (who make toys, aimed primarily at children). You owe a fiduciary duty to the shareholders of the company to act in the best interests of the company (and the shareholders). You can be legally punished (severely) for...

    Obi-Wan Kenobi (spoilers)

He watched a holo-vid of Vader massacring Jedi children in RoTS. If I watched a video of my best friend murdering kids at the church we were raised in, I wouldn't need anymore evidence as to whether they're a bad dude or not.

What do you want Hasbro to do? They're a toy company at odds with a Nation State, with a strong conservative Religious majority. You should be pointing the finger at (your choice of) the Religion, and/or the State (the culprits here) and not the Company. If Turkey were not dicks about this...

Oh I agree, but surely the fault in those cases rests on the States with those laws (with the negative stances on LGBTI issues), and not with the companies (who are actively trying to do something positive). There is only so much you can do as a company. Companies hold a lot of economic clout...

WOTC markets this to Turkey. Next thing the conservative Islamsists in Turkey get wind of Hasbro marketing LGBTI material to kids. Uproar ensues. Ergodan leans into the 'public morality' laws to prosecute Hasbro and crack down harder on LGBTI people than he already is. Who wins here?

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Beyond Self-Censorship: Pride Month Digital Dice Blocked In Some Countries

Let me put it to you this way. Did WOTC restrict the content in Turkey: 1) Because they don't really support LGBTI issues, and it's all just an elaborate charade or 2) Because of Turkeys threatening to use (and using) 'public morality' laws to suppress and attack people and organizations...

How on earth am I being 'petulant or repugnant' to suggest someone direct angst at Turkey (a country that literally prejudices and persecutes LGBTI people) instead of WOTC (a company that is openly promoting LGBTI issues) here? LGBT rights in Turkey - Wikipedia If your company is found to have...

Mate, there are literally thousands of different legal jurisdictions. There are 51 in the USA alone. You cant expect WOTC's lawyers to know all of them, and the reality is Turkey does have some prohibitions against 'LGBTI propaganda' (even if they're not applicable in this case). Your anger...

They kept his training helmet on him, all the way from the Jedi temple to Mustafar, including when being frozen in Amber? I found that super weird.

Surely this is WOTC trying to be inclusive (indeed going out of their way to do so), while also being conservative so as to avoid getting sued (or being charged with a criminal offence) in certain jurisdictions. I mean there are 7 States in the USA that prohibit promotion of LGBTI issues in...

D&D General Should The Pcs kill A Succubuss that's around 1,600 years old, which is The Succubus equivalent of A very smart 9 month old Baby?, or should they not?

Which is the 'Good' aligned option. Canonically (and expressly in 5E) Fiends can be redeemed (and Angels can be corrupted) and both can change alignments. An example of a canon 3.5E Good aligned succubus exists: Eludecia - The Wiki of the Succubi - SuccuWiki Grazzt the CE Demon was once a LE...

Yeah you're right: Obi wan scares off the Sand People with a Mind Trick, and then uses Vital Transfer on Luke to heal him back up from Zero HP. Luke seems to recognize him as 'Ben' when he wakes up, and Obi Wan calls him 'Luke' without asking his name in return.
