Critical Hits D&D XP Coverage- the seminar

Faux pas? Hardly! Thanks a ton for posting this! Someone sticky this, quick! :D

    Live Blog from D&D Experience

D'oh, yeah, obviously that's $10/month. I'd say I need more coffee, but I've already hit my daily limit... :uhoh: Nevermind about D&DI then.

    Live Blog from D&D Experience

This may have just changed my mind completely about D&DI. I can do $10/year.

    Live Blog from D&D Experience

We need one of those image enhancers from TV Land that can zoom in to an arbitrary level and still retain perfect photo clarity. 7. Attack! Attacks are divided up into a few different types. Melee attacks are those you make(?) usually when you're adjacent to your target. Ranged attacks can be...

It's already way too late for that, anyway.

    Let's Face Facts

I'm reminded of the quote: "That's not right. That's not even wrong."

    Printer Friendly Error

Ah, therein lies the confusion. AFAICT, Nikosandros's comment wasn't a "blanket" comment; it was in specific reference to DDI.

    Printer Friendly Error

Oh, believe me, I expect nothing particularly good from D&DI/Gleemax as far as the IT implementation goes. However, there's a rather large gulf between "atrocious" and "criminally stupid". Allowing unfettered access to an arbitrary account by appending a "secret" parameter, while subscription...

    Printer Friendly Error

Then what is left to discuss? This really is a non-issue. This security "hole" has existed in D&DI for months now. Presumably, it's been left open to allow content access to those who have had problems logging in, myself included. Once D&DI subscriptions go live, it stands to reason that the...

D&D 4E Getting Closer To Being Sucked In To 4E

Pre-order now, decide later. Your card won't get charged until the books are on their way to you, and Amazon will let you cancel any order up until the point where the item has actually shipped. Also, there's the 5% book pre-order discount, which sweetens the deal even more.

Cubicle whiteboard: Book titles we'll never [use]

I read "300-Round Meals" as "300-Pound Mearls". I like my version better. And need more coffee, apparently.

Do you really think that, once subscriptions are actually available for purchase, the authorization process won't change?

How much ‘crunchiness’ will Wizard’s release?

On the contrary... (From this thread.) The marketing floodgates will open during/after DDXP. This undoubtedly means more crunchy goodness. After all, the core books will be more-or-less final and WotC will be more comfortable sharing actual rules with us, since they will no longer be in flux.

New Confessions: The Down & Under Adventurer

I completely agree, though it seems that she was able to sneak a few more crunchy details into her earlier columns. It doesn't detract from the column itself; I'm just information starved. Ah well, only a couple more weeks until DDXP.

    WotC_Rodney: Trap Fun!

Do you have a store called "Jo-Ann Fabrics" in your area? That's where my wife picked up the (dark blue) felt for my game table. Cheap, too!

    Why WILL you switch?

Some of the new fluff -- particularly the new cosmology, with the Feywild and the Shadowfell -- really resonates with me. I like how some fluff is built-in, rather than tacked on, but not so tightly integrated that it won't harm the whole if I remove the parts I don't like. If what they say is...

An entertaining read, sure, but this column is so light on detail it might just float away.
