Interesting how one of the proposed ideas for their 5E variant system allows the idea of "double" Advantage/Disadvantage and factors allowing you to upgrade the D20 to the use of a D24. So, adding elements of DCC to 5E. At least, that's kinda what I'm getting when I saw that.

I say take a page outta the 2024 ranger in that regard. You get the perks of Hunter's Mark applied automatically to your favoured foes. If you want that bonus against everyone else, then that's a Hunter's Mark spell following normal spellcasting/slot rules.

I like the idea of a boss fight against a whole [donkey] Haunted House. Like straight up 2006 Monster House style. Would probably work fora whole Haunted Train too, but I'll admit that Mists of Akuma already pretty much has a stat block for that.

A Flaming Goat Skull would be a cool NPC. Or Sidekick.

Not fond of the look for the new half dragons. To me, these will always be Half-Dragons in DND. ^Legacy of The Dragon is a great 3pp material.

It's a reversal of FLEE, MORTALS with the Legendary Resistances of its high CR dragons: except in this case, now the PCs have to make the choice. I like it a lot and I'm hoping MORE 5E monsters get something like this. Not all of them, mind ya, but maybe some of the heavier hitters.
