    Mark of Doom (PHBII)

FranktheDM is still right, I think. When I first read the spell, I thought "whow" as well - what a killer vs. multi-attackers. But consider the power level of this spell if it dealt 1d6 for every single swing/shot/whatever. A dedicated two-weapon fighter would easily take 6d6-8d6 damage each...

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

That, in short words, means you could make them up yourself just as well. BRP2 mentioned only 3.5 WotC material to be legal. ;)

    Spring attack and ToB maneuvers

Elusive Target is a Tactical feat from CW. It allows, among others, to negate your dodge target's Power Attack bonus - while he's retaining the attack penalties. Diverting Attack makes the first attack of your dodge opponent target his buddy if they're flanking you. Cause Overreach: you...

    Spring attack and ToB maneuvers

Since you don't have many options to avoid full attacks once you're in combat, I'd personally throw out Great Fortitude and Unnerving Calm and replace them with Mobility (for creatures with reach) and Elusive Target (to survive that barbarian/FB's Leap Attack-empowered Shock Trooper blow)

    Mounted Archer

While the Master Thrower sounds good, hasn't there been some WotC erratum on the Prc? I seem to remember something, but I can't pinpoint it right now.

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

Just saw that "anything goes" note (3.5) Yes, Warblade is sure fine - the Diamond Mind school even has Katana as a favored weapon, while the flavor screams "warrior/philosopher" to me. Too bad you can't take Setting Sun maneuvers, most sound like a D&D version of Aikido or other...

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

Problem with Swashbuckler is that class features like Insightful Strike and Weapon Finesse are wasted with a katana - unless you make up one for yourself. Barbarians tend towards neutrality/chaos - whereas the iconic samurai would be rather on the lawful side. This is not mandatory, of course -...

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

Would you mind explaining what the Ascetic Knight feat has to do with a monk wearing armor? Apart from synergizing unarmed strike damage and smite evil, you'll still lose most of your monk abilities when wearing armor - but maybe I have overlooked something?

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

While it is generally a wise idea not to allow 3.0 material, you might want to talk to your DM - the fighter isn't exactly what you'd call an overpowered class, and the OA samurai is not that much of an increase in power. He's better, granted. But many classes are these days. Otherwise, I'd go...

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

I surely wouldn't go knight/monk. AS you noted, knight gets many special abilities tied to wearing heavy armor & shield, whereas the monk will lose most of his abilities when bearing equipment such as this - you would have to re-invent the monk class, basically. Do you want to be a heavily...

Anyone know how to make a good Archer

What does this have to do with sailing? ;) Anyway, as I said: Peace. Any ideas to improve on this archer build?

Anyone know how to make a good Archer

Please don't expect me to make this a personal flame war. Yet since keeping peace is not the done thing for you Sir, we might as well go along with this squabble: Sir, I humbly beg to take note of the fact that I didn't call you a liar - strange thing you had this association, don't you think...

Anyone know how to make a good Archer

Not if you have Greater Manyshot, as mentioned in the build.

Anyone know how to make a good Archer

No Sir, you didn't. You Sir, had it that it was the 4d6/+4 AC prereq that was not met by a scout 3. That is something very different from even remotely meaning something along the line of: That's an Epic feat, you can't take it pre-21! So no offense meant Sir, but please don't try and call...

    Scout climb speed

No. Since I posted "scout 3/ranger 17", the question is rather: Get it at 3rd level, use it at 5th, 10th, 15th? The games I have played tended to become unplayable around level 20. Apart from that, the point was less one of Climb bonus but one of the ability to climb up a wall in a tight...

    How Powerful Are Tactical Feats?

Yeah, apart from the fact that there is Elusive Target to balance the uber-PA cheese out again. And that's exactly the point: When evaluated without connection to other feats/the game context, you'll be quick in crying "Emmentaler". Sunder is weak at high levels, Bull Rush is often underused...
  17. V

    Scout climb speed

No. You could have seen it, since no ECL 0/level 20 build gets Epic feats. It's perfectly legal, but I have told you so on the other thread... ;)

Anyone know how to make a good Archer

You should really try and learn the rules, Dark. How would I take an Epic feat into a non-epic build, my friend? It is of course a normal, non-epic feat from Complete Scoundrel, (p. 78) with 2d6/+1 AC as prereq.

    How to critical hit undead

Darkhunter, you seem to be a little confused with the rules these days. Supernatural blow does not allow for crits against undead. You can apply your Favored Enemy bonus against them and do 1d6 extra damage. That's no crit. And it's a 3.0 feat, thus, a ranger these days does normal FE damage...

Anyone know how to make a good Archer

How exactly do you presume they made Two-Weapon Fighting any worse with the Two-Weapon Pounce feat? They just offered a new feat to the path, not a very good one. My TWFers are still the same, maybe yours have changed ?! Apart from that, lion's charge calls for a ranger 8+ to cast it, so no...
