TSR I need assistance finding a possibly imaginary box set

I guess they were somewhat rare even back then? I don't think that I have ever seen one of them here in Italy. In those years, I also used to go fairly often to the US and I would go to gaming stores and I didn't find them (or, maybe, saw them and forgot about them).

    D&D 5E (2014) Aerial combat in 5e

It is actually fairly detailed with 2 1/2 pages of rules and some optional guidance on using hexes. True. In general, I don't think that it is easy to have decent mounted combat rules in the framework of 5e rules. But I'd love to be proven wrong from some third party supplement!

D&D 5E (2024) What medievalesque skill name do you prefer, for machinery, architecture, math, physics?

I meant that I wouldn't use a single skill to encompass all the areas that you listed, but rather two different ones: Natural Science (as you say, Physics, Chemistry, etc.) and Architecture (encompassing Engineering).

D&D 5E (2024) What medievalesque skill name do you prefer, for machinery, architecture, math, physics?

Natural Philosophy & Architecture. Edit: I would use two distinct names. Architecture would cover also engineering.

OSR OSRIC 3 Crowdfund has Launched!

Previous editions of OSRIC do not use weapons vs AC adjustments nor do they use weapon speed factors. I've haven't heard anything about changing that in 3rd edition and it is not listed as a change from 2nd edition in the Backerkit page.

TSR I need assistance finding a possibly imaginary box set

The description makes me think of the First Quest boxed sed.

D&D General The First Demise of TSR: Gygax's Folly

As someone said upthread, it would probably have been good for him and good for TSR, but he was too proud (and also hurt) to accept.

D&D General The First Demise of TSR: Gygax's Folly

While I find the history of D&D a very fascinating topic, I'm somewhat baffled by how intense the feelings about this topic seem to be for some people. Gygax idolized and Lorraine despised? Vice versa? I've never met those people and, while I dearly love D&D, it is still just a game to me.

    D&D 5E (2024) Czepeku Map Packs on D&D Beyond!

The non-downloadable part (which is to expected on DDB) will prevent me from considering their purchase. From the (actually quite limited) previews they do look nice.

D&D 5E (2024) OAR 10 City State of the Invincible Overlord

So do I, I'm sad to say. GG is fully aware of the issues and, if I had been in their place, reassuring people about the license issue would have been an immediate priority. Hopefully, they'll clarify everything soon.

    Sinners (2025)

Very good point about the music. Also, but this applies only abroad, I'm glad that I've seen in in English. It would have been a shame to lose all the excellent language work.

D&D 5E (2024) OAR 10 City State of the Invincible Overlord

This is true, but - at least for me - it would be different if there was a permanent separation of the IP going forward or if instead it is a license and the IP stays in its current Nazi home. I understand that this distinction might be irrelevant to others.

D&D 5E (2024) OAR 10 City State of the Invincible Overlord

It is, but I will wait for a statement from Goodman Games.

D&D 5E (2024) OAR 10 City State of the Invincible Overlord

Another bazillion dollars down the drain for me... I would assume (and hope) that they bought the IP. The owner is radioactive, to say the least.

    Sinners (2025)

I saw it tonight. I absolutely loved it. I don't have much to add, because you already pretty much covered everything in your post. I'll just say that the slow-burner in the first part was really great and it drew me in the setting and made me care about the characters. And I'll reiterate: do...

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

I have no need for a starter set, but I find it somewhat exciting, because it has the potential to be an innovative product. The rest is not exciting, but interesting. I'll get the dragon anthology for sure and probably also the other books.

WotC Ruins of Symbaroum: Setting Handbook is Now Available on D&D Beyond

Yes, I agree that searching during a game is much faster and efficient on the web interface. However, if I understand correctly what this product is, I don't envision looking up stuff during a game, but rather reading it during prep. In that case, for me, the portability and durability* of PDFs...

WotC Ruins of Symbaroum: Setting Handbook is Now Available on D&D Beyond

Yes, I've read that it is just setting information. On the plus side, it might be attractive because it is a cheap way to get into the setting and AFAIK, this specific product does not exist elsewhere. On the negative side, without DB integration and character options this would look, IMO, much...
