Get rid of the AI art. Asking money for your updated product is perfectly fine. I don't see how those who got the previous version have particular cause to complain. As @Morrus mentioned, Kickstarter is a great platform, if you need to raise the money.

Yes, Dragonbane is very much is own thing, but - unless a game is explicitly a clone (OSE, OSRIC, etc.) - I view all of them as separate things. I actually consider even the different editions of D&D (the post-TSR ones) as each being a different game.

I was making a general point. The specifics are not clarified by the movie and I agree that it is all very "convenient" and vague.
