Played in a con game of S&W ran by Bill Webb and it was stunning how smoothly it ran with 20 players. Granted I'm not sure I'd be doing this on a regular basis but he ran it like a master. A lot of fun.
Do a better job of writing down the stuff I make up on the fly...which is half the session some nights. thankfully the group keeps a log that reminds me of stuff.
About the only thing I spend money on D&D or RPG related is miniatures and dungeon terrain. I run S&W and its one book, and after spending 50 on the adventure I'm running, Rappan Athuck, I haven't purchased anything else in the past couple years.
D&D dragons as stated are now just D&D dragons. They are monsters with powers that must be defeated for sweet loot. I can see how some may not dig the idea but for me the alignment grid is fine even if I've moved to a Lawful-Neutral-Chaotic system. Honestly my players don't think it through...

TFA (haven't watched any of the other SW movies after this one I found it so bad. Well I did see R1 which was OK I guess. The Vader scene at the end was fun.)
I use an 120Gb iPod classic every day. Sounds better and more volume when in my car than using my S7 on bluetooth. I will miss it greatly when it kicks the bucket.
Its easier to control via the dash as well. Cranking some Possessed on it right now.
I don't run milestone so you get XP since your PC is playing. If the player is not there we assume he wandered off to drop a deuce. That way you don't get killed along with the rest when they do something stupid and get half the party killed. Including the designated "door checker", aka the...
If we are in the dungeon I will use the mondomat since its easy to draw stuff on, but if we are outside I will use one of my 6x4 or 3x3 grass/snow/etc mats and all measurement is done via tape measure. I'd prefer to get rid of the grid all together and just use tiles and tape measure for all...
Since starting D&D back in the early 80's I have seen 0 PC and 1 NPC as a psionicst. That NPC sucked as it was the DM's "stand in" so he could play too.
Love me some Caldwell. I've met Elmore and Easley, but hope to shake his and Otis' hands one day and tell them thanks for the artwork that spurred my imagination so much. Get a signed piece for the gaming room wall. Sadly KP is gone. :(
5e art is competent but doesn't really inspire me...
Ran OotA
They ran into Graz'zt about halfway though, with some good rolling on sneak attacks and Paladin crits they had him down to < 100 HP when they had to flee. They were 6-7th level and would have died but I was shocked at how hard they were hammering him.
They ran into Yeenoghu later...
I threw some +2 bikini mail in an encounter with some Ice Barbarians they slew, but they were running so hard after the encounter they left it in the snow. One of the guys was going to wear it so it sucked they forget it in the haste, as hilarity would have ensued.
I like it. Tension is high at the table when poison is in play. Very high. Even a higher level PC is in danger from a low HD spider with lethal poison.
When they whine about "well Conan never got killed by a poisonous snake!" I tell them, "Well Conan made his saves..."
Traps sometimes have...
