In general I do use a screen; I keep my notes and my dice rolls behind it. On occasion we run a game that is primarily a dungeon crawl with no punches pulled; for those I don't use a screen and all rolls are in the open.

The only times I've seen people rip up character sheets is when they've failed system shock rolls, but I think that's not an inappropriate response in context. As for toilet humour, the day I stop finding it funny I hope my player will take pity on me and rip up my character sheet.

I'm not too sure what the issue is here. I'd expect just about everyone who has decided they will subscribe will be doing so by the month for the first few months to see what WotC deliver. If it's not up to expectations people will cancel.

I'm not so sure about that; just about every campaign I've played in has had its fair share of house rules to go with it. I've also played with a few DMs who were prone to making things up as they went along and so long as they were consistent it wasn't a problem.
