    Just got my SAT scores!

Well, thanks to RW and all the other's who've topped me, I can now post my SATs without regret. I took mine in 1996 and got a 800 Verbal - 630 Math which recalculates to a 800 Verbal and a 630 Math. However, it never seemed to do anything other than make my wife turn red (as I beat her 1380)...

Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage [This keeps up, I'm gonna need a bigger notebook!]

Might I suggest pointing your browser to Writers Submissions Guidelines Philippe Boulle is the man you want to talk to. Hope this helps. Werner

    Certified Dungeons & Dragons Expert

Hmph, well I guess I'm certified now. :uhoh: I know there was a tracking system in the old days of the RPGA where they kept track of the number of games you've played in and ran for RPGA tournaments. I guess WOTC is looking into restoring that idea. Maybe I'll get a cool card and a shiny...

If you started playing D&D with the Basic D&D rules, which edition was it?

It was Christmas of '81 and my dad got a copy of the Moldvay Basic Set and the accompaning Expert Set (with the Otus artwork of the Wizard looking at the scene from the Basic Set). I quickly absconded with his books and made them my own. I ran my first game running "The Haunted Keep" from the...

    Giants of Legend

I don't live in Canada, but I've gone through GameOutfitter before and have been pretty happy. I've ordered a half case (I guess I'm only a casual buyer) from them this time, but it looks like I'm going to have to wait a while. It looks like of there first wave of minis they've filled all...

What other adjectives would make good basis for templates?

And the whole bevy of related descriptors... Relativisitic, Lorentz-invariant, Virtual, Force-carrying, Vector, Scalar, Pseudoscalar... the list goes on. Though, it'd be kinda neat to tackle a Lorentz-invariant Virtual Half-Dragon Beholder. That would be a story for the bards. The key would...

    Popular Campaign Settings

Yeah, there's been quite the outpouring of Scarred Lands love so far on this thread.

    Popular Campaign Settings

Since this is the second poll I've seen of this sort this month, what do we do to improve it. Currently "Other" is taking 20% of the votes, which means some sizeable others are being left out. Would more options help? From the replies here, probably Ravenloft, Mystara/Known World, Scarred...

What other adjectives would make good basis for templates?

    How about "min-maxed"?

Just _what_ is Negative Energy, precisely?

That's an incredibly cool idea that appeals to the physicist in me. So, to further postulate... Since time is perceived as moving only in one direction, does this imply that Positive energy inexorably flows into negative energy and not vice versa. The negative pole serves as the ultimate...

What's the coolest item in your game collection?

That's the one. I think most of the spells were out of Psalms and Proverbs. I get a chuckle just reading it. I guess also on my prized list is my limited edition Vampire Revised stuff... they serve as nice display pieces on my shelf. I also love the books I've contributed in. But...

What's the coolest item in your game collection?

A little off the wall roleplaying game printed in the mid 80s called DragonRaid. It's all about good Christian fun, roleplaying style. It's packed up right now, and I can't recall clearer details except for having attributes like Sword of Justice, Armor of Faith, and Righteous Intolerance to...

Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage [This keeps up, I'm gonna need a bigger notebook!]

Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage [This keeps up, I'm gonna need a bigger notebook!]

First off, Nightfall knows a lot about the Scarred Lands and has quite bit of love for and devotion to the Scarred Lands, but he's not a salesman. I'd suggest making a decision on purchasing through other sources like reviews or actually skimming the book. Furthermore, I made a post either...

    Who Would Illustrate Your Setting?

I'd love to see a mix of Brom and Michelle Uran for the interior art and potraits with perhaps some cover art by Michael Whelan. Cartography would be done by Eric Hotz or Ed Bourelle. In an ideal world...

Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage [This keeps up, I'm gonna need a bigger notebook!]

Player's Guide to Fighters and Barbarians, Creature Collection Revised, Termana Hardcover, Vigil Watch: Asaatthi and Edge of Infinity... why? because I wrote in all of them! Ahahahaha! </end narcissism> In all seriousness, if I had to limit to five, I'd pick Relics and Rituals I, Creature...

Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage (Going into Triple OT Folk!)

Totem feats were originally in Player's Guide to Fighters and Barbarians. More are found in Clerics and Druids and in the Termana Hardcover. As for Science and Scarn, probably the only official answer is that no mention has been made regarding many of these questions. You won't find details...

Which was your favorite setting from TSR/WotC?

Darn, I voted Spelljammer and meant to vote Dark Sun. :heh: Well, Spelljammer was a close second and it's an underdog... let it stand. Didn't see Blackmoor on the list.
