    Battletech with D20

Right, it can be fun. I agree, and there was a time when I enjoyed tweaking and rewriting the rules to match my ideas. But to be told that, if I don't enjoy this, that I'm in the wrong hobby? Come on.

    Battletech with D20

You've got to be pulling my leg if you think rewriting the rules for the games you pay good money for is an essential part of this hobby.

    Battletech with D20

Me! I've become quite the lazy gamer. Don't have time to tweak to my heart's content, especially if I'm not getting paid for it! Seriously, those bills are piling up.

    Battletech with D20

d20 Mecha will leave you with paper-thin mecha sporting better weapons than the average RIFTS character. d20 Future's mecha system will leave you with impenetrable walking tanks armed with pea-shooters. "d20 Nexus" left me with a headache. Sorry to keep ragging on you, Aussiegamer, but you...

I'm sure this has been asked B4, but still...

The d20 STL forbids any character creation rules, even ones significantly different from those found in the core rules. An OGL product, however, may have any sort of character creation rules therein.

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

I take it you've never tried to publish RPG PDFs on your own. :) You're right, the licensing doesn't look expensive if it's the only expense you see. But when you take into consideration every other expense involved in creating a quality product, that extra $16.66 per product just for a logo...

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

Take a look at Licensing True20. As a publisher, paying $100 annually for a maximum of 6 products within that year means that those (up to) 6 products better make a return on investment. Ask any of the current publishers using the single-class release format - the only way that format makes...

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

With the licensing scheme currently in place for True20, I doubt you'd see any publisher wasting development time on single-role PDFs.

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

Urizen's said all that needs to be said about the credit issue - looks like that might be resolved in the near future. I'm not mad - hell, I'm proud to have my work found suitable for Green Ronin in the first place. Nice to know it was enjoyed!

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

I can just imagine. The wealth of material one could include in Fantasy gaming alone is staggering. I dunno. Write something? Get it published? Post about it?

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

I would know, I wrote almost half of it. Quite a bit was trimmed down and left out... there's way too much "modern" to cover in the space that was allotted.

    True20 Companion: Who's got it?

Got it, went straight to the Modern chapter, loved it. I haven't checked out the rest of the book, but since modern gaming is my favourite, I think that chapter alone is worth the price of admission.

    D20 Modern in 2007?

What can I say? We got few, nearly nil, adventure submissions for MODERNIZED. The forum for d20 Modern adventure paths existed, it's just that the contributors were lacking. Someone's got to want to write them, after all.

    D20 Modern in 2007?

The work is actually Urizen's, I just helped. But rumour is, the True20 Companion is currently in layout. It's substantial Modern chapter is... well, I'm happy with it. Whether it's a conversion of your previous work, or an original contribution to True20 Modern, I'm looking forward to...

    Ronin Arts: Important Announcement

Success will follow you wherever you go, Phil. You've been an inspiration to many of us, myself included. I wish you the best, though in truth, you really don't need it. :)

Help me clear up OGL FUD

Wouldn't you be licensing the PI aspects of your game, not necessarily the OGC portions which derived from the SRD? In any case, as long as said game company follows the terms of the OGL, there's no case for WotC to build a lawsuit upon.

Zip Codes: what about the rest of us?

So ENWorld 2 will store user's zip codes for event notification. Will there be any love for us non-American users?

    Rpgnow creditcard information stolen

Actually, this explains a lot. A few months ago, I had my credit card cancelled and placed on fraud alert after several unexplained charges from a web-based company in Sao Paulo, Brazil, showed up in my statements. I kept wondering where my card info might have come from. I never would have...

Is there any demand for the old Polyhedron min-games on eBay?

You could, you know, try searching eBay to see if similar items are for sale.
